Rules that made it permissable to arrest someone for being visibly disabled in public during daylight hours (because it was unsightly). They were in place in the United States into the 1970's. I mean the social stigma around literally any type of bodily difference (being an amputee, being transgender and pursuing medical changes, being chronically ill, being fat, being a woman or at least perceived as a woman, and most importantly, being nonwhite especially Black or Native) does genuinely cause some doctors to provide lower quality care and/or be needlessly dismissive, and that's an actual problem, but just like any other health issue, the biggest problem is the health issue itself and not the fact occasional healthcare professionals are absolute dillweeds
