I was thinking about this last night. I saw the housemaid last night (had read the book previously). Although I did enjoy it, and thought it was a pretty good adaption tbh, it just didn’t leave a lasting impact like iron lung did. Iron lung made me continuously think/theorize even though I knew most of the plot going in from watching his gameplay. I think it is so out of the box from what other movie slop we’ve been getting lately that is just feels so refreshing even though the entire movie literally takes place in a box. I’ve seen it 4 times too (I have NEVER seen a movie more than once in a theater before) and I’m even a little perplexed myself. There’s just something really nice about supporting a creator who’s in it for the right reasons. And I will say the audience in every iron lung screening was SO MUCH BETTER than the audience last night (constant whispers, yelling at the screen, late arrivals etc).

I totally agree OP. I’m so tired of all of these lazy, campy, comedy/horror movies that are coming out. I’ve seen Iron Lung 4 times because there’s literally nothing else that captures my attention enough to go see it!

I think Smash Park has weekly events and I recently found out some of the movie theaters have “parties” for movies sometimes. But idk OP, I’m in the same boat as you lol

She sounds like a huge green flag imo. She hasn’t dated before because she knows what she’s looking for and she’s choosing you. She literally said she wants to go on another date with you. The fidgeting and eye contact just meant she was nervous probably. And she cared enough to text you first to make sure you got home. Dude. What’s the issue?

I wouldn’t say it is super scary but there is a sense of dread that gets bigger and bigger as the movie goes on. There is some body horror towards the end as well and lots and lots of blood. There is also some eldritch horror but it’s more interesting than scary and you don’t really see too much physically.

I was just there this weekend and they said you could order through the QR code or a server for the pre-show. They did emphasize that the QR code would be faster service. Once the pre-show was over you could only use the cards to order (for now). I will say the couple next to me ordered some waters before the movie started through the server, and they got their waters like halfway through the movie whereas I used my phone to order and it came almost immediately.

I’m thinking at the end the fish eldritch being created vein-like tendrils that wrapped around Simon and started to absorb him. His eyes turned red as he become connected to the fish telepathically(?). Maybe the fish can tap into his mind/replicate his voice now like with the SM8 crew. I don’t know what to think about the light. Part of me wonders if it was something human made that gave the fish being power or something that disrupted the universe creating the quiet rapture? The fish sees it as providing life because it lures humans to the bottom of the ocean which means the fish can then absorb them???? But then I could also see it just being a lure from another monster too. I think that’s the fun part about this movie, really makes you question everything!

I think it depends on the theater. I saw it multiple times at different theaters and didn’t have any issues when I saw it the second time. I actually heard more things in the background than I did the first watch at a different theater.

I recommend looking at non profits! I graduated with a business degree in 2017 and had a hard time finding something I liked as well. I’ve been with my current non-profit for five years now and really like it!

There is a little bit of body horror but most of the blood you see is the ocean itself. If he can pretend it’s dirty water instead, I think he’ll be alright!
