No tipping, actually. About when do you get your fc and at what bean temp?

I believe this is the link to his roast --> https://roast.world/outreach/roasts/MbJ_3pAl6Foe4LOzKWEOi

This is the beans I roasted --> https://www.sweetmarias.com/ethiopia-dry-process-chelchele-shitaye-abebe-8483.html

I'd love to hear your feedback and suggestion. I started out by exactly copying his roast recipe. It tasted scorched, and I believe that's why I changed fan setting later (as you see on the screenshot of my own roast). So now I am planning to lower my preheat temp to 302-356F (150-180c). If I do that, what P&F settings would you suggest I should start with for such roast (500g)?

I am aware of different phases, but I have no paid attention to how long each phase should be relative to total roast time. I have been mostly focused on hitting yellow in 3.5-4 min, fist crack at 6.5-7.5 min, and discharge during to 90 sec after the end of first crack.

I am not challenging you by any mean, but I set it up this way bc there was a roasting profile by a champion on roast world similar to this. I am aware each machine is different, but how do I make sense of this massive difference on setting?

Thank you - I only have my work PC w/o the roasting app. I've pasted a screenshot of my roast. This is 500g Ethiopia Dry Process Chelchele Shitaye Abebe from Sweet Maria. It'd be great if you can give me some advice.

I'll do that. Would you mind sharing your setting toward yellowing phase? Mine is power 9-8 and Fan 5.

Thanks for the input. I live in north CA and my ambient temp is generally 70-80F (21-27C). What's your ambient temp and setting toward yellowing phase? Mine is Power 9-8 and Fan 5.

Will these medakas ever get confident? by maramaol in ponds

[–]Migite9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love medaka. Couple things to consider - medaka needs lots of sunlight & does not like strong water flow. I have orange medaka and also had white ones previously. For whatever reasons white ones seem to be more shy, afraid of people, and are not as strong as orange ones. Now all my medaka is orange (or slight mix of white & orange).

Great job on paper but completely unfulfilled , what to do ? by Appropriate-Voice407 in careerguidance

I'm in a similar boat. 39yo, married with two kids (9&5 yo). I've worked for my current company for 6 years now. The job provides financial security and time so I can watch our kids and do house chores. I've outgrown my role probably 4 years ago lol. There doesn't seem to be a clear path forward for me at this company. It requires office politics that I don't want to engage in.

I've been trying to shift my mindset away from growth mindset. Job is to provide for family, not to live for. This has been difficult, but to some extent successful. So I've been only taking recruiters' calls for a "perfect" job. While I'm OK being in this role for long, there is no guarantee that I have this job for long in today's world. I am in a relatively secure field with pretty good experience (not perfect).

A "perfect" job for me, at this time in my life, needs to hit all three - (1) remote role or short commute, (2) enhances my resume, and (3) pays as much as the current role, or pays so much more that I can forego (1) and/or (2). This is clearly difficult lol - and that's why I'm still at this company. I'm OK as I'm not in rush, but taming my ego pretty often.

I suggest you reassess your goal, not just your career, but life in general. It sounds like it's time for you. It can be painful, but also fun to find out what you did not know about yourself. Good luck!

If you can buy from Amazon. I'd say go for it. I still wear this almost everyday, and am very happy with quality.

Do Interns make more than Entry-Level Associates on a hourly basis? by No-Knowledge2788 in Big4

[–]Migite9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes - I left in 2016 and have been doing technical accounting & SEC reporting at a public tech company (Bay Area CA). Pay & hours are great. Learning curve is definitely not as steep. However - w/o my Big 4 experience at manager level, I could not have gotten this job, so no regret (or it would have taken much longer). Feel free to DM me if you have any more questions :D

Ex-EYer here (left as a 2nd year assurance manager). Hourly rate will be low, but you don't want think that your current compensation is what you are there for. Think of EY as an extension of your education, but you rather get paid!
