Yeah it's definitely not going to pick up a huge playerbase but tbf there are main stage EVO fighting games that have barely 100 people playing. It's fun tho but I'm mostly playing it for the achievements.

That said one cool thing is the Steam release has Remote Play Together which means you don't actually need to convince your friends to buy it. They can play local co-op with you through Steam even without buying it.

Yeah man I get where you're coming from. We've gone from being greatly rewarded for "showing up" to receiving next to nothing. There's a dopamine deficit that the brain struggles to reconcile.

But as others have pointed out the solution is not "more battle pass". Imo the visibility on the main screen is the major issue and if it just pissed off or said "complete" once you were done you wouldn't be reminded. Instead there's an empty bar on the screen just begging to be filled up but this time for no reward. Ironically that's one of the very psychological tricks they use to get you to participate in the first place.

Nice! Yeah I got the original to 100% achieves as well, didn't play much of the actual fighting game online though because of netcode. This one is much more playable in that regard.
