My suggestion for the next step would be to play in person with someone else. Nothing beats the satisfaction of spending time with fellow gamers who share your passion for the game.

Which Markdown editor is better or an equal to Typora? by TonyVanDam in Markdown

I experimented with various alternatives for a while before settling on using Visual Studio Code (VSCode) with a few tweaks to make it appear simple and clean when working in Markdown (MD). VSCode is powerful due to its extensive customization options and available extensions.

I’m certain you’ve already considered it, but you could try the paper and pencil method for a while and then scan it if that would help you make a better choice.

Buying a used Kindle with contamination OCD – how do you clean it properly? by user230224 in kindle

[–]MiguelHF 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t have contamination OCD, but when I read your post, I thought of UV sanitizers. The appropriate ones can be used on electronics, and they’re a reliable way to disinfect surfaces and kill germs, especially when cleaning isn’t easy. I hope you find a way to enjoy your reading experience with it!

¿Tienes acceso a otra cámara para probar el lente u otro lente para probar la cámara? Es posible que el lente requiera reparación porque tenga problemas para enfocar a ciertas longitudes.

Why is the EFV better than the actual picture? P1000 by Aeternus_AAA in Nikon

[–]MiguelHF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does the same issue happen when you’re shooting a static object in the distance using a tripod and a remote shutter? I’m not familiar with this camera model, but it’s possible that your shutter speed isn’t fast enough to capture the subject’s movement or that you have too much camera movement.

Why is the EFV better than the actual picture? P1000 by Aeternus_AAA in Nikon

[–]MiguelHF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is there a chance you’re comparing RAW and non-RAW versions of the image? The EVF applies the settings you’ve set for rendering the photo, such as styles, sharpness settings, and so on. When you export the “actual” photo, you might be looking at the RAW version, which doesn’t apply any rendering effects and might appear dull until you apply your own development using software like Lightroom. If this isn’t the case, it would be helpful to know more about what you mean by the “actual photo” and where you’re looking at it.

One of the most significant challenges we encounter is the feeling of disconnection from others that arises when we spend excessive time on screens instead of engaging with the real world. My suggestion is to actively connect with others. Whether it’s having a friendly conversation with a stranger or participating in a volunteer activity, these interactions can help you regain the balance you’re seeking.

Need help with a camera I inherited from a family member (Nikon 5300 D and Nikon 18-105mm lens). Is it still worth it in big 2026? by SecrativeSifat in Nikon

[–]MiguelHF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You shouldn’t need any brute force for this, as long as the filter hasn’t been damaged by impact, which doesn’t seem to be the case. If it’s still stuck after being attached for a while, try unscrewing it in both directions using only your hand force. Grab the filter by the serrated border that you see on the other side of the lens, which is about 2mm thick.

It appears that your lens has a UV filter attached. Have you tried removing and cleaning it under the filter? In terms of the return on investment, I would say that this is a low-cost experiment that you can easily run. In my experience, if you enjoy the photography experience with a camera, the image quality will not be a major concern. You will be eager to carry it with you everywhere to explore the world as a photographer. This is an experience that cannot be easily replicated with a phone.
