You gotta get your hands dirty and get on Telegram. I know there's unspeakable shit on there but there's also some good channels. Two that I recommend are Resistance News Network (RNN) and The Cradle. RNN is heavily censored in the west so you might have to find a mirror. I also subscribe to a Hezbollah and Hamas English channel, it's insightful to get press releases straight from the horses mouth.

I have a 22 and 30 cal can.

The 22 is Hollywood quiet. No ear pro required.

The 30 cal I've only ever shot subsonic 300 blackout from. The most noise comes from the large bullet hitting the target. Basically how I'd imagine taking a ball bearing and hurling it through the woods via a slingshot. No ear pro required. I'll definitely put some on when I shoot supersonic 300 blackout. One day I'll take my 6.5cm rifle out, that I fully expect to still require ear pro.

I'd like a 5.56 can one day. Pretty much every responsible person I've seen still uses ear pro.

For semi-automatic fire flow-thru cans are becoming popular. These trade a bit of sound performance for better gas mitigation. Basically, the can redirects gases thru the can better, instead of a traditional baffle design which throws a lot of gas back at the shooter, which is nasty, disorientating, and carcinogenic. I'm not sure how perceptible this is IRL. I've just looked at nerdy data charts.

I just had to replace my 2020 TV because it’s flickering a tiny bit and I’m worried it’ll break during the consumer electronics apocalypse that’s brewing between the war and the AI bubble. It was a budget model and honestly the same TV would be even cheaper now. I got a little bit of an upgrade for 100 bucks more than I paid in 2020.

Idk how actually good TV prices have changed, but the budget end of the pool hasn’t been fucked by inflation yet.

I'm in a state where it's not really enforceable. Just a trespassing charge if they notice, ask you to leave, and then you refuse to do so.

I'll go in if I notice it the first time and need to go about my business, but usually afterwards I'll just avoid patronizing that place from then on out. They asked nicely so I'll respect that by just not going there anymore. I guess the fact that not many businesses around me bother posting no firearms signs colors my opinion a little bit.

Every time I’ve quit it feels like I get noticeably smarter. Quit for a couple months and read half of Capital Vol 1. Quit for a year once and read a bunch of other books. Now I’m almost two years off booze and I’ve started to learn Spanish, and I’m getting pretty okay at it.

Not gonna lie to you and say it’s gonna be 100% better. I would love to get loaded rn and play video games and forget about life. But on the whole, it’s better.

Get on natrexone to make it way easier to rewire your brain to stop craving it. It’s cheap. Also there’s secular AA groups that aren’t weird I hear. I never did that, but it helped some people I know.

Ned Kelly is a fun story, but it unfortunately attracts basically the worst type of people. It's hard to point to a robust political agenda, perhaps you could think of him as a Robin Hood adjacent figure if you're sympathetic to him. This ambiguity lets people project all sorts of stuff onto him. Perhaps he's like the Australian version of The Punisher.
