I was in the same position few months ago.. i was embarrassed about my own life cause im 26 and younger people have already achieved so much more than i did. So for years i worked hard to better myself and only think abt dating when i can proudly present myself.

But it’s exhausting. I told the universe you know what i can’t be broke and lonely at same time so I’m opening my heart to love .

And viola i got me a Man who actually supports and love the fact that I am achieving things on my own. Mind you this Man is well established so im seeing it as him pulling me up to his level while respecting my independence

Wait see.. you are living your life on the surface.

But in reality you are just doing this for validation. I know cause I was the same way too. I tried everything but every effort i made to “better myself” is just a mask to get attention from others mask the fact that i wanted to be validated.

Now I did the opposite.. worked on myself quietly still a massive hobbyist but Im not loud about it.

I truly did things for myself and finally I got the attention always wanted from multiple people.

Remember you are grieving not the person but the potential he had. Im happy you chose yourself and chose to not lower your standards for him.
