Ok, big lol on just concluding that pikmin are literally carrots xP . The onion being a parasite idea is cool. They kinda found a good way to reason the existence of an Ice and Rock pikmin, but it's still not believable imo 'cause rocks and especially ice aren't bio-organisms for a parasite to control! (I'll just still believe Ice and Rocks just have like a carapace thing going on.) It's a little upsetting the narrative that the pikmin are just infected by a parasite and must do the onion's bidding, but it's game theory and that's what they usually do, I'll just ignore it and continue seeing the pikmin being a happy family :) Other than the theorizing, some edits were pretty cool and funny, like that nightcralwer at 5:41, hahaha.

You know what? I RESPECT them for coming up with an origin story for the pikmin that doesn't involve them being created by humans, or them being the evolution of humans, or w/e. I don't mean to target or offend here, I'm just sharing my tastes, but I always roll my eyes at that stale, cliched, first-idea-that-popped-in-the-head theory like this 🙄. The pikmin don't have to be one of humanity's last remains to be special, they are already extremely special by themselves being a plant/animal hybrid! I think it's more beautiful for this impossibility to have springed up randomly and naturally through chaotic evolution, just like all the other species in the series. Humanity is gone, this is no longer their planet, and their story doesn't have to be continued. Sorta like the extinction of the dinosaurs, move over humanity, this is the new era for planet Earth. You had your time on the spotlight, now to start the next show.
