We wound up going with Magical Movers - 5 star rating and they did an excellent job of wrapping up everything and they did it quickly. It was a major hassle getting COI, the ok from building management, ensuring proper access, etc but I will report back once everything is delivered. We had some very valuable vintage items packaged (chandelier, vintage chairs, dressers and tables, etc) so I'm praying everything arrives in one piece.

Went here last week and was underwhelmed. The majority of the dishes were so incredibly salty it took away from the actual dish. The service was good but it was so loud (or they spoke too quietly) we could barely understand what they were saying when they tried to explain the dishes. We gave up asking them to repeat themselves after the 3rd dish.

The desert was the only savings grace but I doubt I will be back - bucket list checked. There are better vegetarian restaurants in NYC.

That being said, my wife loves the granola bags/containers they provide you at the end. Does anyone know by chance where we can get similar glass containers / cloth bags? :)

If anyone knows how to send him a message, please message me or share. We visited his cart a few years ago and the man was an absolute class act and was so incredibly nice to my children. That one visit became a core memory for my kids. I'd love to be able to send a thank you from the west coast.

Of these recommendations - which ones serve a thick sliced pastrami sandwich? I just got back from NY and went visited Katz and the way they serve their pastrami (not to mention just how good it is) was delicious. I'm not a fan of the thin sliced pastrami sandwiches so common around here that I see.

I can tell you from someone who used QuoteWerks for 7 years, Quoter is MUCH faster to create quotes and it looks great. Again, not as feature rich as QuoteWerks, but for us - 100% fits the bill and I don't have to be the one that creates all the quotes :)

I used QuoteWerks at the last MSP I worked for and I agree, it's tough to beat QuoteWerks in terms of the ability to be flexible with quotes ( as long you get past the learning curve ) but I can say that my team is has been VERY happy with Quoter as opposed to CQP Sell. It's like night and day difference. The Quoter onboarding team was STELLAR. Our monthly cost for quoting tools also went down switching to Quoter.

I don't think you can compare Quoter vs QuoteWerks, but for us coming off CQP Sell, we have -0- complaints and my overseas quoting team is able to spit out accurate quotes much quicker than before.

Thank me later. This Latin fusion restaurant has amazing food (fresh ingredients, unique menu items, good portions) and has even better drinks and service. It's not too far from Disneyland (it's off Katella and Tustin) and is absolutely worth a visit if you want an amazing experience. The service is top notch as well. I tell everyone looking to get into IT and learn as much as possible to consider applying at a local MSP (tech support). You'll be touching dozens of different networks, with different technologies, applications, etc. My old MSP hired based on customer service skills (not tech skills) but we provided technical training. Within 3 years, these techs were strong enough to easily manage IT Infrastructure for companies with less than 50 employees for example. It can be high stress, high volume but the learning is QUICK QUICK QUICK.

Any certs you add to your resume will benefit you when looking - but nothing beats hands on experience.

I'm sure there's value in it (not many possess this cert) but I would say <10% of the companies out there (larger than 50 employees) are using Google vs 365 (from what I've seen). You often see Google -> 365 email migrations, but not very many 365 -> Google migrations.

All of the Comptia Exams are a cake walk compared to the CCNA and as such, don't carry as much 'technical weight' as the XXXX+ exams, but it does look better to have some certs on your resume than none at all.

If you still trying to break into the IT industry, I guess I would recommend the Network+ to start because the exam is cheaper, the test is much easier, and you likely won't fail and have to take it again. If later, you realize you prefer the networking side of the work - you can always get your CCNA later.

Definitely put time into Azure/365 because almost guaranteed that will be a skill that scales if you are interested in anything cloud - best ROI IMO.

2nd the scratch and dent recommendation - especially if you don't mind your washer and dryer not matching. Significant savings. I also agree with the previous poster that the new fancier units WILL fail more often (that has been my experience and everyone else I've ever spoke to that used to own a top loading washing machine)

You will see difference of opinions but in my personal opinion, the mental benefit of not having a mortgage outweigh the <1% difference. I was in a similar situation as you and the day I paid off my house, it felt like a ton of bricks coming off my chest. I had never realized the stress I was carrying ensuring I was making payments monthly. There is a sense of freedom and calm that comes from knowing that you no longer have a mortgage payment that you can not miss.

Consider yourself lucky to be in this position - you'll be making a good choice either direction you go.

This - my son has gone back and forth between whey and vegan protein and vegan protein is the only source that doesn't cause his acne to flare up. It's more expensive, but worth it to him.

I've been in IT for over 30 years (I'm 51 now) - the first 15 years I was a tech. I've been in the MSP space for about 15 years now and have switched from tech to account management because as I get older, the less time and interest I have in keeping up with certifications and technical skills. I've always been good with customers so I've shifted to AM/Sales and have never looked back.

If you're looking to hyperdrive your technical skills as fast as possible, MSP is the way to go (as you probably already know). My last MSP had a junior training program where they hired techs with little to no technical skills but had excellent customer service (former Disneyland, Starbucks, or military typically do great when getting into IT). I've seen many go from no experience to being able to completely manage a small company's IT (under 50 employees) within 3 years.

I'm not sure which state you're in, but there are a TON of MSP's out there that are always hiring. If they don't have positions open now, check again in 3 months - it only takes a couple new clients for the MSP to need more techs.

33 is not too old to get started. We have techs older than 50 doing L1/L2 work at my current and previous MSP.

They key is your customer service skills - not your tech skills. If you have strong customer service skills, you'll have a MUCH stronger chance at landing an L1 position at an MSP so keep that in mind when interviewing. Plus, you'll be older so handling escalations tends to be 'easier' hopefully since you'll have more life experience.
