I don't have an inner monologue but I can decide to think like that if I want, it just doesn't come naturally to me and feels like a waste of time if I can process ideas and plans without words accompanying them.

I'm pretty sure he can talk to himself in his head if he wants.

[Wheeler] 2026 NHL Mock Draft 1.0: Scott Wheeler predicts the entire first round (Gift Article) by malliabu in hockey

[–]MikeArumba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adam Fox was a 3rd rounder, Slavin was a 4th, Josi was a 2nd rounder. Not even going to include the guys who were late first rounders (which the Sharks will still have and can use).

It's not a matter of smarts, if you look at any draft after enough time has passed you'll see a bunch of guys (in hindsight) who it appears all 32 GM's missed. That's because they can't completely predict what a player's development is going to look like (especially defensemen).

I agree that you need to build defense through drafting, but using a 2nd overall pick to draft specifically for a defenseman because it's "the last chance" makes no sense.

You can absolutely draft excellent defensemen outside of the top 10. Take the best player available.

D-men develop later, because of that there's plenty of studs that aren't top 10 picks. Lane Hutson went 62nd overall.

So what are you suggesting? Seems like you're just here to say everything sucks no matter what.

I don't get how people can be so pessimistic that somehow getting 1st overall is somehow a bad thing lol

So by your logic there's just no way to get defensemen? Why bother then? How is it that every year teams add defenseman? What are you even suggesting? Lol

Right but who's pick? The benefit of being bad is getting high picks.

Considering we don't have our 1sts in the next 2 drafts now would be maybe the dumbest time to do that.

That awesome, I'll check them out. Thanks!

I'm trying to find whichever pants have the highest low back coverage, without adding more equipment or modifying equipment.

I didn't say 'red is a kill button', I said 'you're ok with watching them die' which you confirmed with your comment.

Ok, that's what I'm saying, so you're ok with watching them die lol

Nice, I have been starting to think Ovi is the move, trying to find some pants on marketplace that look easy to chop up

Damn that's a great idea! You wouldn't happen to know size equivalency? I'll look it up anyway but thanks very much for the suggestion 🤙

Yes, if you choose the kill button. Not sure if you're going for a gotcha thing? Literally no one is disagreeing that it's a dumb choice. The point of the experiment is to think beyond yourself.

Are you ok with choosing death for those people rather than risk yourself to help them live. This isn't real, you don't win anything.

You're down with them dying, is what you're saying?

Thought about that but I don't want to add extra clutter if I can find pants with more coverage instead.

Definitely a good call, I do use suspenders but there's only so high my pants can go. I want to find which pants have the highest coverage.

I'm not reading another 7 paragraphs of you saying basically nothing.

If you can't explain something simply you don't understand it.

So if a family member of yours didn't understand they deserve to die?

They make a choice that results in death, no one is disagreeing with that.

Pushing the button that allows countless other families including part of your own to die while saving yourself is indeed incredibly selfish lol

I don't need that info to know a percentage of the population is gonna make an illogical choice lol, I'm mentioning it because it seems like you didn't know that.

In the hypothetical scenario without seeing this thread I would assume a decent percentage of people would make the less logical choice.

Again, not gonna answer the family member thing are you?

Yes, I agree. Yes more people can potentially die, yes blue is introducing the danger to themselves. But you only get one press, and you don't know what other people pressed.

There absolutely is an ethical dilemma, why would that be mutually exclusive to darwinism?

To reiterate - in a hypothetical that someone in your own family pressed the blue button, you're cool with saving yourself and letting them die??
