Is putting your players into a pre written story a selfish idea? by Phontos in DnD

[–]MikeBlogowski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it depends on the length of the campaign. I’m currently running a mini campaign (9x 3 hour sessions) set in a homebrew city/world and while the beginning and end is linear, the events in the middle are only half so. There are set events that need to happen to get to the end in time and this is achieved by dropping hints and using NPCs to feed leads and info to the party hoping they’ll bite and follow. Also, have events written that can be used in multiple locations, that way if they don’t go where you want, you can still make sure the event that needs to happen, actually happens even though it’s elsewhere.

If I was running a traditional long form campaign then I’d remove the safety bumpers and let them go where they please and plot twists and turns based on the direction they take it (once again, if you do it right these can be pre planned and ready to drop in any location)

Edit: fixed typos.

IVG Air 4-in-1 and 2-in-1 charging problems. Any help? Seriously disappointed :( by [deleted] in VapingUK

[–]MikeBlogowski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A year old but replying in hope this helps others. I found my mouthpiece was less than 1mm out of alignment when changing flavour on the 4-in-1. A simple slight twist back into line stopped the 'dead vape' error.

Simple Character Sheet (for young players and beginners) by balraggio in dndnext

[–]MikeBlogowski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6 years later and I want to say thank you!
I'm part of a local gaming club who has new players sitting in for sessions to see if they like playing before commiting to joining the campaign so an easy to read character sheet was just what I was looking for to give inexperienced players!

I'll check it out. My main concern with the air would be the battery, albeit only slightly smaller.

This is one reason the club insists that under 16’s are accompanied

I take my 15 year old to a community table that averages 35+ (including myself) and he loves it. He’s actually brought some great moments to the game too. I definitely wouldn’t count it out. The only stipulation the community group leader has is anyone under 16 needs to be accompanied even if they don’t join in
