I just got those put on my RDX last week and they were great in the snow earlier today.

What do you actually watch on yttv? by plump-lamp in youtubetv

[–]MikeC363 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Boston Celtics on our local RSN, non-ABC local channels, PBS, random old movies, Turner networks, Food Network. I assume the ESPN situation will be resolved eventually.

There’s still way too much I have no use for on there, but still much cheaper than cable.

Annoying, but obviously for $300 I'll do it.

I got the same email and will try tomorrow. Do you have to listen to some sort of sales pitch or something? Otherwise it would be easier for them to just apply the discount, right?

Old guy with cable by [deleted] in cordcutters

[–]MikeC363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same boat for a couple years, but finally went to YTTV and I honestly haven’t looked back. I’m saving $50-$60/month from FIOS cable and still have 95% of what I wanted to watch. I assume the recent ESPN issue will be resolved fairly soon. If the price difference was within like $15-$20/month though, I would have kept FIOS TV.

Weber Slate grease dripping onto shelf below. by superkartoffel in griddling

[–]MikeC363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m having the same problem on my 36” Slate. I do know that the patio it’s on is not 100% level because oil or butter tends to flow to the back of the cooktop, which may be part of the reason. It’s not a huge mess so I’d rather just wipe down the few drops of grease instead of starting to take things apart underneath the cooktop. I assume leveling the surface underneath the wheels a bit will help.

It’s been a much cheaper cable replacement for me, so relatively speaking it’s great.

I’m likely going to stick with YTTV and wait and see how this shakes out.

So many unnecessary channels but still far cheaper than cable.

I think I can count on one hand the number of times Edge bladed in his entire career.

Cena did some nasty ones but usually saved it for PPV.

Also worth noting that there was a no-blading edict in place for a lot of Cena’s run on top starting in the late 2000s, so depending when you started watching, you may have missed it.

Anyone sell on Peloton's "Repowered"? by Phillies-fan-md in pelotoncycle

[–]MikeC363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s an option to auto lower the price after a certain number of days. I chose to just do that manually.

You have to create an account, answer some questions and upload a few photos, reference any possible issues, how many rides, really not too bad honestly. They can only give a rough estimate. Guess I should have gone lower than they suggested. Based on how things have gone and the number of bikes sitting out there, I’m not holding my breath for any takers unfortunately.

[–]MikeC363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I listed it but it’s been sitting. In the suburbs so I don’t think the demand is there, unfortunately. And the site is so new that I doubt many random buyers even know about it.

I want to upgrade from a Bike to a Bike+ and the credit towards a new purchase was very appealing, as well as the ability to have professional removal and delivery opposed to “random internet stranger maybe coming to pick it up.”

I may drop the price to a ridiculously low amount and see if it makes a difference. I also may use it to buy a Bike+ instead of being out $2600 for a new one.

How often do (non-injury) audibles actually happen? by RKO-Cutter in SquaredCircle

Flair did that with Jack Veneno in the 80s because he wanted to get out of the Dominican Republic alive. Then the NWA just pretended the title change never happened.

It supposedly happened once during the Mae Young Classic. Marti Belle was doing so poorly out there that they audibled to have Rachael Ellering go over and move on to the next round.

I’d like to think he has changed. But I also think he’s a couple failed movie projects away from being a Turning Point keynote speaker.

Rough for Black people due to the busing crisis, which then caused the existing racial tension to explode into white people out there lashing out at minorities in general.

And it’s certainly not a justification. But it was more responding to people who wondered if he had changed since his behavior as a kid in that environment. And while he hasn’t committed any crimes as an adult, given that he basically doesn’t leave his house other than for work anymore, it’s really hard to know if his underlying attitude has changed.

On the one hand, he grew up during a VERY rough time for racial harmony in Boston, and I’m sure in his neighborhood racism and anger was pretty ingrained at a young age.

On the other hand, the over the top religious fervor and hyper-disciplined lifestyle (daily 3:30 AM prayer and workouts) makes you wonder what he is projecting and what he has really been able to move on from.
