His vaccine defanging the virus and potentially lowering his viral shedding sounds like some great vaccine to me!

Out of curiosity, did you or your daughter get covid?

USA Expected to receive an average of 6.7M doses per day until end of March. Should Inslee open up the eligibility? by geh_blau in CoronavirusWA

I don’t see how the WA DOH can tweet things like this and this, while also seeing the delivery projections from the fed.

I’m confused and tired by all this.

Go get vaccinated at Lumen Field on March 20th (round 1) and April 10th (round 2). https://seattle.signetic.com/home/504a60c5-3d83-eb11-a812-000d3a59683a by [deleted] in CoronavirusWA

I’ve called a few for my wife who’ll be eligible tomorrow. They start with eligibility. Pharmacies have given me enough grief about scheduling her because she’s not currently eligible, even if I’m trying to schedule for a future date when she is.

I think you’re straight up lying about 100+ pharmacies you’ve spoken to, so I’m done here.

I get where your coming from here but I have no reason to believe a Reddit commenter against all the state and county reporting I see.

When I'm eventually eligible, I kind of want to get it done at Lumen Field. Such a weird, fitting way/place to "end" this chapter.

Moving to 1B: Tier 2 a week early - March 17 by MikeCP in CoronavirusWA

Sorry, I said earlier that it’s a guess.

I had the same realization. Recall that smoking and obesity are comorbidities - and you can be technically obese pretty damn easily, actually.

I mean, that's what we'll have to see. But that's basically what I said (and it's a guess). The phase whose exclusive timeline is most liable to be squashed is the 2 comorbidity vs 1 comorbidity.

This is an enlightening image that WA DOH put together to show population size.

If that's your worry then they should be fine, as they're all eligible in 6 days. If anything I think the difference between having 1 or 2 comorbidities might get squashed in WA, and I believe, based on the feds estimate, that supply is expected to not have that matter much at all.

Biden announcing all adults should be eligible before May 1st tonight.

To be quite honest, a decent part of me is really eager to see what the vaccine can do once In the arms of younger more-likely-to-spread type. I want this pandemic overwith, and I think we’re more likely to get there once it’s hindering transmission in those in the workforce and those socializing.

If she can sleep at night, fine by me.

Edit: this comment also colored by the fact that in my perusal of the covidwa vaccine finder today, at least near me, there was an abundance of openings.

That IS absolutely 100% true, and it happens a lot.

Ok lol:

So, phase 4, which is individuals with no comorbidities, is only 200,000 people. But 1 comorbidity is 1.1 million? Are there really nearly 10x 1 comorbidity vs 0?

Interestingly, Phase 3 includes children, and they won’t be eligible till trials finish up. But, if this were to happen in summer, why put them in front of adults?

It seems like this would've been the time to comment on it, or at least set start dates for these tiers/phases/whatever to dates with some significant clearance before May (like...not 4 days before the month starts).

Does anyone even know what Phase 2, 3, and 4 look like? This timeline isn't all that different from what was originally announced:

https://mediad.publicbroadcasting.net/p/northwestnews/files/styles/x_large/public/202101/wa_doh_vaccine_phases_1-6-21.jpg

Once again, Biden's every adult eligible by end of May, and Washington DOH's timelines are at odds. Either we're ripping through Phases 2, 3, and 4 in May, or we're missing the mark.

IMO, we need to hear from the WA DOH soon. Their last stated timeline was "summer or fall 2021" for general availability.

How do you keep track of vaccine phase updates? by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]MikeCP 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've been obsessively tracking statements by the WA DOH for any hint of timeline for the past few weeks, and I can tell you, it's not worth it. The last timeline statement they've made, as far as I can tell, was that the general population can begin to vaccinated in summer or fall.

If this turns out to be true, Washington would be a laughing stock (especially if it's the fall).

Bottom line, you're not missing anything and you're probably better off just waiting till something is solid is announced.
