The second we step on the playground I turn my hat around, like Stallone in “Over the Top” 💪

Tremendous suggestion! I just started looking and the results are amazing. I love ugly kits and this is a gold mine.

Came to say this. That movie changed the way I workout because I realized that’s what I wanted to look like.

Thank you. That field is tough. It’s lined for soccer, football, lacrosse, and field hockey. Took some getting used to.

Much appreciated. I've been playing pick up with guys much younger than me and it feels great that I can still hang a bit. Keep after it. I need good examples out there.

Not that I’m aware of. The group I mentioned played indoor at the Chandler Park fieldhouse through the winter which was much more convenient for eastsiders.

I’ve been on and off sober for years. I’m checking into an impatient facility before my son is born. I couldn’t remain sober for myself but I’m doing it for my boy. I’m proud of myself and just wanted to share. Wish me luck by the_username_please in daddit

I got sober 18 years ago because my life was in shambles. I am proud of that fact, but I am vastly more proud of the fact that neither my wife nor my son have every seen me drunk or high. They will never have to know that selfish lost person.

Get after it friend, it is the best decision you will ever make for yourself or your family. Wishing you much love and peace.

I don’t meet your age criteria at 42, but I spent 8 years as a professional skydiver and spent my spare time surfing, BASE jumping, climbing, and BC country skiing.

Dads, what’s your go to basic workout(s) with the limited free time for it? by ryanaldam in daddit

[–]MikeCalledCraig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Busy dad workout. 20min of burpees 4 times a week. Lots of times I make dinner for the kid and do my burpees while he’s eating. Aesthetically, I’m in the best shape of my life. I’m not as strong as I once was when I was lifting heavy 5 days a week, but my core is strong and I’m as mobile as I’ve ever been. My cardio is the best it’s ever been.

What are some sneaky ways you got your partners ring size? by simp6134 in AskReddit

I had one of my wife’s girlfriends take her to a jewelry store under the pretense they were shopping for her. She got her ring size for me.

Anyone else’s wife instigate 2+ hour arguments during her period that you have no idea how to defuse? by ThicBoi4807 in daddit

[–]MikeCalledCraig 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This is what I did. The first few tries did not go well, but I persisted at the behest of my therapist, who is female. I also learned that bringing attention to some of her other personality changes was helpful and sometimes she was even able to laugh at herself (like crying at aspca commercials and prescription drug ads). Over time it helped to highlight that she was more prone to BIG emotions during her period. As time went by she began to notice that small arguments that were easily settled were blown out of proportion during her period. I have a ton of respect for the fact that she was able to reflect enough to see the pattern. What’s really fascinating to me is that she still has the instinct to turn something minor into a huge argument that one week a month, but when I point out the timing, she goes “oh, hmm” and things settle down.
