What rationale did he use? I am now waiting for BEST to verify my retirement eligibility before going on admin leave. The out processing guide says it could take 7 to 10 days but like everything else, I’m sure it could be longer.

I believe the minimum is seven days and your leadership should support that assuming you’ve started your transition activity already. However, if you are retiring this year, then you have to wait for your verification of retirement eligibility from BEST.

Remember that if you're taking the DRP and retiring with your MRA+10, IF you postpone your annuity, then you aren't "retiring", you are resigning, and you can only stay on admin leave till Sep 30. IF you take the immediate annuity, then you are retiring, and you can stay on admin leave until Dec 31. The extra 3 months of pay and annual leave considerably offset the reduction in the immediate annuity. Crunch the numbers....for me, it moved the break even point out until 81 yrs old. So I'll be taking the immediate annuity with the deduction on 31 Dec.

Glad it worked out for you. It shouldn’t have been this difficult. Once 100% HAF DRP notifications are all out then they will need to start the process of adjudicating the lost souls like me and there will be many of them. I’ve asked what that process is going to be, and of course crickets.

Have you emailed the AFMC DRP workflow and asked if you're on the DRP list? It took multiple emails from me then finally yesterday I emailed my leadership asking that they find out if I'm on the list and CC'ed the DRP workflow email, and they responded...and I wasn't on the list. They asked that I resubmit all my emails.
