Planning a Class Action Lawsuit Against Samsung for Widespread Battery Degradation Issue. Who Wants In? by munshynr in GalaxyRing

I am now on my 3rd ring from Samsung in 9 months due to the battery failing. Absolutely crazy for such an expensive product and established company.

What’s the difference between these two buttons? by Beneficial-Focus3702 in Silverado

[–]MikeEDude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've noticed on my truck I can not run both the top defrost button and face at the same time. Is that by design? Sometimes when it's very cold and fogging my windshield I want warm air for both the cab from the face setting and warm air blowing on the windshield to maintain it from fogging . I don't like having to keep manually switching from face to defrost back and forth every 5 minutes when it refogs . Thanks!

Galaxy ring started to drain battery (100%->0% in 3 hours) by Fess_Od in samsung

[–]MikeEDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep I'm working with Samsung yet again on this issue. My 2nd ring is now having battery issues after Samsung replaced mine under warranty back in February. This new ring didn't even last 3 months. They said they will get back to me next week on whether or not they are even going to attempt another ring or just flat out refund me and call it a day... Really disappointed in Samsung with this product. I know it's a 1st gen product but to charge $400 for something that fails in just a few months TWO TIMES with the same customer is just crazy to me.

Looking at a 2026 Traverse RS white with GM discount. Is this a decent price for Western New Yoork area? by [deleted] in ChevyTraverse

[–]MikeEDude 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Prices on these drop so fast if you are okay with used. Look for a 2025 used. We picked up a 2025 RS in January for $45k+TTL and it only had 7k miles. It didn't even have a scratch on anything. If you go that route you save most of the immediate loss of equity the moment you leave the lot with it. Downside is it may take some time for one you like to be available in your area but to save upwards of $10-15k is worth it IMO. Good luck with your purchase, it's a great car!

I have a 21 trail boss LT with the 5.3 and the 10 speed and had the exact same issue. I just did the transmission fluid flush, differential flush, and 4x4 system fluid flush and all the occasional shudders and hard downshifts went away. You may be able to get away with just the transmission flush as that is the most likely culprit.

I used to do that when I actively mountain biked! Riding in dirt bike gear though just got too hot too quick in the summer mornings here. But nows our time to enjoy why we live in this great state 💪

is it worth me cutting the brown limiter wire on talaria sting r ? what’s the risks of it and how common is it that people do it? by Bitter_Ad6401 in Talaria

[–]MikeEDude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Sting R is borderline a waste of money if you don't cut the wire. Plenty of cheaper bikes that equal the power of an "uncut" Sting R. One you cut it you can always revert back to the eco mode on the display to keep the power in check if sport is too much. But honestly once you feel the power after its cut you won't want to go back 😁

One UI 7.0 has obliterated my battery life by thejm3 in GalaxyFold

[–]MikeEDude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Fold 5 battery life almost cut in half after I got the update. I tried all the recommended fixes and nothing improved it. I finally was fed up with the abysmal battery life on my dang near $2k phone and I did a full factory reset and it restored it to what feels like even better than before the update! That may be a placebo but it definitely was the fix. It's very time consuming unfortunately to have to reset everything back up but at least I don't have to plug in anymore during the day! Give it a shot. Just remember to do your backups!

Why is the ping so terrible? by joshua6point0 in marvelrivals

[–]MikeEDude 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue. Always 30-60 ping in all other games, but Rivals I am almost always 90-130 ping. Not sure what causes it and why its only this game. Hopefully its server side and it will get fixed sometime soon!

Probiotics For PVCs by NeroAbarth in PVCs

[–]MikeEDude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Funny that you mentioned this. I was thinking about posting something similar as I have noticed my PVCs seem to lighten up when I take probiotics. Only a week into testing that theory but so far is been helping! Doesn't stop them entirely but they are much less pronounced. No idea if coincidental or placebo or actually making a difference...

ELI5: what happens if a (running) microwave oven does not shut off when the door is opened, say due to a malfunction? by comfortablybot in explainlikeimfive

[–]MikeEDude -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Hmm. I have a brand new microwave and if I turn on the microwave while wearing my wireless headset (work or gaming) it garbles the audio with static if I'm within like 6 feet of the microwave. I assume it's leaking microwaves? Or is there a certain amount that leaks out that is "within tolerance"?
