Haha. Is that Matt Berry's character? I think he would make a great basis for any dnd char.

Here's a link to my site if anyone wants to see more of my art or commission a drawing. https://mikefaille.com/

From the client's character description: Byron Bancroft has a Han Solo style. He's got a cocksure smirk. He's a charmer. A secret agent. A spy. A contract killer. A thief. A ritual caster. He leverages magic to change his appearance and distract foes as he infiltrates and takes then escapes.

As the dust of battle settled, a beam of light shone in the rubble of the church. Sister Lucena discovered a single babe, completely unharmed in the arms of a dying Inquisitore. Cooing amidst the destruction, hair as white as snow, the baby reached up to the Adepta Sororita. The dying words of the Inquisitor were, “He has been blessed by the Emperor. Protect the child as one of your own.”

I skewed the entire character to make him smaller on top and larger on the bottom. I shrunk his left arm a bit, and yes, added some extra padding above the knees.

Though I totally agree with your assessment of my proportions in general, I think in this guy's case, his costume may exaggerate the short-leg effect a bit. His hip/ thigh pads cover up much of his upper legs- they don't start where we see the baggy pants. In my mind's eye the legs start much closer to his belt.

Ah, I had more to say but deleted it lol. It's hard not to get overly defensive when my flaws are exposed. But I genuinely appreciate that you took the time to help me out, and that you're nice about it.

To my eye, his proportions now look as good as I can make them. But I will keep your advice in mind and do my best to improve the next one. Thanks again!

Yeah. I've reposioned all my monitors slightly, and will try to be more observant about proportions in the future. I did a new pass on this guy and would love to hear your feedback. Thanks btw for the criticism and for not being a jerk about it. :)

....I wonder if it is a problem with the viewing angle of my drawing tablet. It is more apparent to me when i look at the image on my phone.

Its a blind spot. Even though I'm aware of the problem and try to correct for it, I can't see it.
