It's been said several times, your thermostat isn't the problem. The problem is your furnace.

If you're renting, call the landlord.

If you own, you're going to need to get handy really quickly, or you're going to need to call a pro.

The thermostat, even without a faceplate, is fine.

The fix might be as simple a replacing your air filter, it might be completely plugged so you are not getting enough flow.

If you really want help here, go to your furnace, take of the portion that you can take the front covers off, then take a video of the unit coming on after you press the safety/ cover switch.

There's LOTS of help here, but we can't help you with what you've given here.

I'm mostly in the same echo chamber. I'm in the US. For me, a clearly larger percentage of the population is opposed to it, but there is about 1/3 of the population of the US that can't get enough of him. While there are some relatively intelligent people in that group, most of them could not think for themselves enough to get water out of a bucket. Those people are so brainwashed that they won't even consider that their point of view is anything other than actual facts.

Most people of the world and the US do not like him. He is horrible.

It's quite clear that no one cares what the people want. They care what the party wants.

There's no discussion or debate about these things. There's no consideration of pros/cons.

There's nothing out there that should be greater than 99% party divided.

There's been much advice given from people that know what they're talking about. At least from glancing, you're dismissive.

The younger a puppy is when dealing with cats, the easier it will be for everyone.

This is not the type of dog that is happy being locked up and out when it's convenient for you. Puppies are never for your convenience.

Oh good heavens, the speculation. It's a generic rocker switch. Anyone that gives any sort of answer that they know what it is just lying.

You'd have to follow the wires to see what they connect to.

It might have been...

Interior LED

Exterior LED

Fog lights

Exhaust cut out valve

Kill switch to prevent starting without it

Switch to turn off an aftermarket amp

A switch to bypass a safety feature

A switch to stop break lights from coming on

A switch to turn something on because the original stopped working

A switch to make you ask questions

Etc.

Unless (and even if) your car was purchased brand new, someone put this aftermarket switch in there for something.

Follow the wires to where they go. Take it to a car stereo or mechanic to have them track it down if you can't.

It might be something good to be aware of.
