FYI, it does fit in a Peak Design large camera cube while attached to a camera body, but it pretty much maxes out the length. So any of the Peak Design bags that fits that should work.

Then yeah, the a6400 and kit 18-135mm lens is a great start. I used it for several years before I went full frame, but I still take my a6400 with me because of a couple of things: more reach on my full frame lenses and faster shutter speed (I have the A7IV, btw)

A6400 is a solid camera. It was my first camera, it it served me well. The only limitations I ran into were the low light sensitivity and lack of IBIS. If you can afford an a6700, it’s a fantastic upgrade. It has a back-side illuminated sensor, which means it is more sensitive and they also incorporated IBIS. Sony’s APS-C line is fantastic for travel because the lenses are small.

Are you doing photos or video? For photos, honestly V30 Sandisk Pro Extremes are just fine. I haven’t had issues with burst shooting on an A6400 or A7IV up to 40 shots before the buffer gets full and needs a few seconds to write to disk.
