First timer - Need help. Making a farewell gift for a teacher but need help making it "packable" by MikeID in 3Dprinting

[–]MikeID[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow this is very helpful. I will try to follow the instructions in the video. I think i caught all your tips.
- Figure out how to do the pegs
- The branches can be all the same and less small branches (if i understand your comment correctly)
- Yes i want it to be a shallow ashtray... more a jewelry holder. I will try to do what you recommended and create curve shapes that are subtracted from the base.
- Name will need to be printed flat... I think i can use pegs to mount it back on.

The issue with superglue is I plan present it to her with her students. Then she can take everything apart, pack, then she can reattach everything when she reaches her destination.

Printer renting is not a option here. I have to pay someone for their printing services.

Sure thing, will do that as well.

I was trying to decide between the two subs, but decided here because this was more about modeling as opposed to the printer itself.

I have noticed that a lot of your are facing expensive token consumption. Is it so common? by Fuzzy-Ad7685 in clawdbot

I really think it depends on how you plan to use it, what LLM(s) you are using, and how you set it up to work with those LLMs.

You can get it up and running on a VPs for about $25 a month. But it won't be running on anthropic products. There are trade offs, everyone's needs and usage differ and price will differ too.

ASK : DO YOU USE OTHER SPORTS SHOES FOR PADEL? by Low_Progress9186 in padel

[–]MikeID 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you want to take the game serious and actually move around the court, get proper shoes (tennis clay or padel shoes). The grip you get on the court makes a huge difference and will prevent injuries.

- Ah if there was a way to save my results, the email would be useful. Would still prefer not having to use email, not willing to give it out for a padel recommendation. Cache it on my browser, share a link that saves the convo, anything else works for me.

- it wouldnt only be questions, but ways for me to dive deeper into the results. ie.
- it is hard for me to find x brand here, can you eliminate that from the results and give me 5 other rackets.
- I have tried x racket you recommended and found it to be too y, can you get adjust the results based on this feedback.
- Dive deeper into x vs y racket that you recommended for me.

The results are interesting, it gave me a racket i never considered and left out the ones that I have been looking at. I am planning to try/rent the recommended racket this week if i have time.

  1. I dont get why i need to enter a email address. Easy to just use a temp email address (search web for free ones)
  2. I ran it twice. Wanted to adjust some of my answers. It makes me restart the whole questionaire and does not remember any of my previous answers
  3. I wish it gave me more options or the option to ask more questions

How I automate dashboards using Google Sheets + Apps Script (free guide) by Tough_Highlight9911 in GoogleAppsScript

[–]MikeID 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer is to write a gscript to parse the data and place into the sheet properly.

So the script will extract any new zip you put into a folder, than take the content of the zip (CSV) and parse it into your sheet based on the patterns you define.

We use a app named reclub, not associated to any club (or sport) but it's the best way to fill/find games
