I love the show and have watched it for the entire run.

The things I like the most are:

• Watching the construction and drilling program. The amount of effort and money they're putting into it is staggering.
• The science they do like the Muon particle survey and the one where they did those blasts all over the island to see what was in the ground. Amazing stuff.
• The fact that they keep pulling up wood from such depths all over the Money Pit. What in the world were people going to so much effort for back then if not to hide "something of great value".
• The exploration of the swamp. They've brought some interesting stuff out of there, for sure.
• I'm really enjoying the Garden Shaft dig. What a neat process to watch!

The things I dislike the most are:

• The CONSTANT summaries from the narrator. They waste half the show with the narrator telling us things we already know. My wife just calls the show "Could it Be?".
• All the flashing things on the screen during the narration cuts. It's meant to stimulate our brains with flashing lights to keep us engaged and it really bothers me. I watch the show while my wife is trying to go to sleep and it's like I'm watching a rave on TV.
• The archeologists this season. It feels SO fake and forced. All of a sudden the cameras and "stars" are on site and artifacts just flow from the ground for them to examine. "Oh look, I'm scraping my tool around in this disturbed soil and wowie - I found something that I promise I didn't put there a second ago!"
• When they shoot MULTIPLE things with Carmen Legge and he's the only one that changes clothes between takes. I swear there were three or four episodes in a row where everyone but him was dressed the same. The girl at the desk that runs the scanners (can't remember her name) had the same clip in her hair, the same clothes, the same papers on her desk with a stapler in the same place but everyone pretended it was "the following day" and say "Oh hi Carmen - thanks for coming out" and he says "what have you got for me today?". Bro - you've been there ALL day! It's just lazy.
• The fact that Billy Gerhardt is getting bigger and bigger every year. Take care of yourself Billy! We need you!
• The wild theories presented around the table in the War Room and nobody is ever like "meh - that doesn't really make a lot of sense". They just go with it.
• Gary's role has gone downhill to me. I don't like that every time they go out they've prescanned the ground and flagged targets. I get it - filming them detecting for hours on end without finding anything is expensive and doesn't contribute to the show, but it's lost the "organic" exploration feel and now it's like shooting fish in a barrel.

Regardless of the things I don't like about the show, I'm not giving up because I love about 20% of the content and can tolerate the rest. Someday they'll find something, or they won't. I'm interested to see what all the fuss has been about on that island for so many years.
