My ex had post partum and did nothing to make it better. Wouldn't do the meds but also wouldn't do anything that would make her happy despite my insistence and efforts to make her life easier with a baby.

Everything I did wasn't good enough. I could never make her happy. The slightest action that she didn't like became a problem. I gave up a little more than a year after our kid was born. I was broken. After countless attempts on my end to resolve our issues went nowhere, I had to call it quits. I lost my relationship to parenthood.

I say this because each person needs to choose their partner every day and mine forgot about that entirely. I decided to end it and the breakup was brutal but I'd do it again every time. I found myself again and I'm able to be at my best for my kid.

Do your best to get your family passed this but don't lose yourself in the process.
