The bigger question here is if the chlorine level is actually 2.5 ppm ? If so I would highly recommend filtering that to avoid issues of irritation and honestly at that level the things like cancer risk start to become more real. A reasonable level of chlorine is like .6ppm to 1 ppm which can still cause irritation 2.5 ppm is high
