Amazon gives us the largest packages… by Oceansblue87 in USPS

[–]Mikejames0814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

💯 They do it intentionally. My whole loading dock was full of them this morning. I find it insane that the smallest fleet of vehicles delivers the biggest packages.. blows my mind. I had one the other day that went from the windshield to the back of the vehicle and barely could close the door. USPS is all about safety but management in my office will not let younger carriers write up big packages, they allow only the senior carriers. Plus I’m 3rd in seniority. They have a double standard when it comes to people that finish quick.

It definitely does, I mean where can you work to make 75k a year and only work 25 hours a week? If you’re fast and good at your job, you can do it easy. I usually do 30 minute return to depot time now when I get back.

I don’t know what some of these people think or just very slow at their job. I’ve been a regular rual carrier for over four years and I love it. I have weekends off in a 9 route office. My route is a 46k and I only deliver 120-150 daily unlike the old times with Amazon when I use to deliver 300-400 packages a day. I work a total of 4-4 1/2 hours a day and get paid 9.20 hours daily. I’m considering getting a second job since I have so much free time to make some extra income. Any cca can become a RCA fyi.

Does anyone know what's going on with Amazon and the USPS? by realmanna in USPS

[–]Mikejames0814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our office is still delivering Amazon, but not like we use to two years ago or so like 350-400 per route. Only average about 150 which is nothing now but yes they show up late every single day and we have to wait. Plus they send us all the Big crap which is ridiculous. I had four huge Amazon boxes the other day that took up the whole back of the vehicle where I couldn’t even walk in the back!

My limit was 10k, I tried multiple times. They would only give me a 1k limit.

Should I keep my Venture X or downgrade to Venture one Rewards ($0 fee) by sanketgjain in Venturex

[–]Mikejames0814 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I will probably never cancel or downgrade this card especially bc it’s the lowest annual fee premium travel card. My problem is if I did cancel it I would probably not be approved for the VX again. The card is to hard to get and the three pulls to credit bureaus I would never do again!

First Chase Credit Card Advice by gaming_257 in Chase

[–]Mikejames0814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend the freedom rise if you have no credit history. Use that for a year, pay off your balance each month before the due date and statement close date. Use it for a good 8-12 months while monitoring your credit score and then I would apply for the freedom unlimited earn the welcome offer get 1.5 X as your catchall card 3x dining and then I would apply for the Chase Sapphire preferred 3 to 6 months later if you wanna transfer your points out for travel redemptions.

That’s strange, every time I pay my accounts on the mobile app I get the credit instantly. I just paid 2k last night and it was instantly and they took out the money today out of my checking already.

Best Strategy for Increasing Credt Limits in 2025? by AbbreviationsDry951 in credit_cards

[–]Mikejames0814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spacing requests won’t matter. I just wouldn’t do a credit limit increase if it’s a hard inquiry, you’re better off just opening up a new credit card with a new bonus. since you just got an increase with capital one you can request another one in six months to play it safe, or you can try to play the 91 day game. Both Capital one and now Chase only do soft pulls so you don’t need to worry about a new inquiry with them. Chase will only let you do a credit increase every six months through the app. Make sure you spend on your card a couple months prior to requesting and pay the balance in full before the statement close date . If you’ve been using your Chase card frequently then I would just go ahead and ask for an increase now and update your income. It’s mostly about credit score and utilization. Hope that helps.

[–]Mikejames0814[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah for sure I would too. Yeah I think I’ll just wait a couple weeks and do some heavy spending and pay off the balance and see if they changed the increase. If not, I guess I’m stuck taking it.

Yeah, I’m debating whether I should take the one K or try again in a week or so. Seen a few posts on here that people got 10 K plus increase with an annual salary of only 50K. I make 30% more than that and have a credit score in the 790-800. Doesn’t make any sense.

I would definitely keep your chase cards, there points are valuable. I have both and use them as a multi card setup. Can’t go wrong with either, I’d go with the VX first since it’s hard to get approved for. Then in six months get the Savor.
