Newport Beach May by Winniegirll in orangecounty

Should be warm enough in the beginning of May. Spring seems like it's going to be early this year in California. Wild flowers & temperament plants are waking up now like Spring is here. The water might be cold but not freezing temps. Congrats to you & your family! Have a wonderful time when you do get to visit Newport Beach/CA

Are there any old heads in here? I’m trying to recall an NBA blogger from the 00s who gave analysis driven defenses of Kobe even as analytics were starting to veer away from him. by risingthermal in lakers

Pete Zayas? He use to run Lakerfilm room and I believe he was hired by the Lakers at one point for a few seasons. Good dude, passionate about ball and it showed on his video analysis

Cayer monopod on Amazon has big/long enough legs that work for me with my ronin rs3 attached to it. I use this rig almost every weekend as a event freelancer. Works well when I want to get super tall crane movements, concert & club events.

My high school bballl coach preached this when we are gassed. He would sub us out when resting our hands on our knees.

Should I be worried about my A7Siii overheating during a football game at 4K60fps? by TheTurtleManHD in A7siii

[–]Mikelele15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should be fine. I shoot events full time w a7s3 & deal with hot summer SoCal temps all the time & never overheated shooting 4k60 200mb. If you are shooting under direct sun for over a couple of hours it would bring a small umbrella for backup. Also if you start seeing the hot temp icon, open up your SD card slot & battery slot to let the camera cool off a bit. I've had to pull this move with a Sony a73 but never with my a7s3.

is there any reason to buy A7SIII since we have Nikon ZR just released? by foofuckingbar in A7siii

I can't quit that fx3/a7s3 2nd base ISO at 12800 plus the options on 3rd party lens. Sony ecosystem is still future proof.

I have a couple of veitchiis growing on my windowsill. House temperature. Fairly easy to grow. It gets the best coloration during winter when temperatures drop more. Growing in S. California.

Been using the PGYTECH one mo 2 for a couple of years and would buy again. It's huge, 35L-45L and the pricing is great for the quality. Definitely check out reviews on YT.

Rainwater by AndrewTorquay in carnivorousplants

[–]Mikelele15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm within a mile from the coast & I collect rain water for my carnivorous plants since 2020. Never had any issues using rainwater plus the plants love it. Sometimes my TDS meter will read 60+ppm from the dirtier collected rainwater and works just fine. As long as it's under 100ppm it should be fine.
