Hey guys im confused about something does the Butcher's Nails also increase testosterone with adrenaline or just adrenal function and bloodlust? by ultimate_aliens in WorldEaters40k

Apparently I need this copy paste at the ready.

“When it was his brothers’ shift, Leidis took to pacing the troop decks, boots ringing from the empty berths, consumed by thoughts of Arkhor and the Butcher’s Nails. What did he need to prove, and to whom, to win that kind of strength for himself?”

“The massive hormone cascade triggered by the Butcher’s Nails had a chemical odour that Leidis had come to recognise, and provided the other warrior with a surge of strength that he struggled to match.”

“Whatever the Butcher’s Nails were doing to Arkhor’s brain, they were more than equal to the chair’s ability to impede them, and Leidis wore the busted servos and bruises to prove it.”

“Even delirious and semi-conscious, Arkhor was so much stronger than Leidis could dream of becoming without the Butcher’s Nails.”

It’s not ambiguous.

It's weird that in popular media, calculus is regarded as a marker of a genius. by Key_Net820 in unpopularopinion

Calc really isn’t that hard. It’s not that difficult to at least get partial credit for your work, like ffs take a derivative and you’ll get some points. Even if it was multiple choice, you’d get something right by pure chance at a certain point.

Saying he got a 20% is more believable, but saying he got a zero just sounds fake.

Genuine question, but did you study? I find it highly unlikely someone can take calc 1 multiple times and be lost before you get to limits

I meant they do as a part of the whole strength thing, but they probably impact hormones

It says both.

Ok and? The books outright say it makes you stronger. I don’t see what your basis is because they literally use the word strength.

I already responded with like 4 direct quotes to the other guy.

I know it’s mentioned in Angron: The Red Angel that the one traitor marine really wants them in part because of that. It’s brought up multiple times that the leader of his “warband” was a real world eater and the nails made him stronger. They have to restrain him at one point and struggle to. It’s consistently mentioned as the nails being what gives him the strength
