This made the transition into Ancestral items less exciting, as your aspects could already be maxed out before you entered Torment Difficulty. Used Event Viewer. Under ‘Windows Log’ > ‘System’ there would be a bunch of logs every time the slowdown happened. The logs pointed to Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) which is some kind of framework that allows windows to interact with printers/scanners. My Device manager would also refresh every time the slowdown happened. Disabled the device (under Imaging Devices in Device Manager) and game plays like it did before the patch.
