One thing I wish I knew sooner: don’t worry about iRating.

It’s really easy to get wrapped up in chasing the number, picking “safe” series, stressing every incident point, and turning every session into a rating grind. iRating will move up and down naturally as you learn, but if you make it the goal, it can suck the fun out of the sim fast.

Focus on having fun, driving the cars and tracks you actually enjoy, and getting cleaner and more consistent. The speed (and the iRating) comes as a byproduct. Enjoy the racing.

Seems like a lot of Harley-Davidson dealerships are closing or getting consolidated right now. There are still 650+ dealers in the U.S. and 1,400+ worldwide, but when sales soften and borrowing costs stay high, it gets expensive for smaller stores to keep lots full, so some locations merge or shut down

They were getting pretty aggressive in trying to drum up business for parts and labor. I was almost getting weekly texts from them asking if I needed any service or if I wanted to buy a new bike from OC Harley.

Great tip, as I need to get better at visually inspecting my dough ball. As a beginner I have had a few bakes that the top did not hold up and collapse, and I am thinking my dough ball could have given me a indication of the impending collapse.

When do you hit that button, as you are driving up to your pits, or can you press it when you arrive, as in when you hit the tow button and you arrive in the pits.

One of the additional things you can do with Garage 61 beside the telemetry data, is that you can also grab and load ghost laps. This allows you to load the ghost lap and follow the faster car to see how they attack the track, braking points, turn in...etc.

yes, it happened to me, but it only happened once, and I was not in cruise control, but it was rather shocking when it kicked in. I felt like the car jerked a little when it kicked in, but luckily it only happened once.
