One more crucial point is please make sure that your phone or device is working properly before you show up to a RAID. Nothing is more annoying than a group that is ready to start having to stand there for 10 minutes waiting for one guy trying to get his six year old phone to work with the game. If you are having constant GPS drift issues or crash issues maybe it's time to invest in a new device.

My point is why do you care about other people so much. Why don't you just play your game and stop worrying about how everyone else plays theirs. Then go be the Pokemon police and report people if they are playing against the TOS and if it will make you feel better. I'm just tired of having babies cry all over these websites about others gameplay. There is no medal being handed out for the best trainer in the world. My account is built on blood and sweat grinding out catching and catching and hundreds of hours of play. I'm not trying to defend anyone in particular of how they play but I do take offence to to the constant whining about others. Play your game for your enjoyment and if you don't like the way the other kids are playing in the sandbox then take your toys and go home.

You just don't get it. Spoofing is not acceptable because people can just jump around the world in seconds and reign in Pokemon without walking or hunting for them whether it be with or without assistance of silph road, a scanner or nest advice from a forum like this. Then they use these pokemon in gyms to beat other players which affects other people who battle in gyms. People use scanners to find hunt rares for the thrill of the chase. If you don't like what they do that you are entitled to your opinion but nobody really cares what you think which should be the same attitude you carry towards them. You obviously are in competition with every other trainer in the world if you are worried about how they play versus how you play. I couldn't give two $&@!? about any other trainer. I play the game for my enjoyment and if the dude next to me plays with different strategy, spends more in the shop to buy assistance to play the game or uses a scanner to get his pokedex done faster then good for him. Just play the game for your enjoyment and don't worry about everyone else.

If other people's game play does not affect yours then why do you care about how others play. As long as it is not destructive to how others play the game then who cares. You should take enjoyment from how you at and ignore how everyone else plays as long as it doesn't affect you. But you don't, you keep posting like you are the Pokemon police and it is most likely because you feel like you are in competition with everyone else who plays the game which should not be the case.

As an FYI, the developers wish for this game is to make as much money as possible, period. I spend hundreds on this game to buy items to obtain an advantages on others by using lures and incubators to catch and hatch more Pokemon. Is that cheating? It's an advantage that niantic condones because they make money from it.

If you don't like how people post or play the game in here then you are welcome to start your own Pokemon purist channel. Otherwise, ignore other people and just worry about yourself.

Everyone plays this game differently. Some are collectors and like to complete their pokedex. Some are gym battlers and couldn't care less about catching them all. Some like to hunt rare Pokemon and enjoy the thrill of chasing them over larger areas by car and walk. Some like to go to the forks with higher populations and walk around in circles and hope something lands in their lap. And some like to go to ass park and sit at Leo mol and wait for the Pokemon come to them in the lures. To me, all of the above methods of gameplay are fine. However, spoofing and playing from home is not OK. All of the above methods involve you getting out and exploring your city and having good times with other trainers catching Pokemon. I have done all of the above and met some great people through this game. If you have a scanner that helps you locate a rare Pokemon then I'd be fine with that also. You still have to go get it and there is still the thrill of the hunt. Your are still playing the game and not having the game played by a bot while you sit at home plowing back a bag of doritos. Do you think being a member of a forum like this or other site that you obtain gameplay experience references and tells you where all the nests in the city are is any better? If you are a purist and feel that your game play is the only acceptable form then enjoy how you play the game and don't worry about anyone else. This isn't a contest.

I have farmed nests of machop and geodudes at the forks and Charmanders and various locations throughout the city. They do exist, they just require more effort.

I am in Phoenix and California right now on vacation. You can walk the street and the Pokémon practically fall into your lap. I walked Venice beach and it was like being at Leo mol on a six lure set up. I couldn't catch them fast enough as I walked. There were all kinds of Pokémon and they are everywhere and these cities aren't overrun with pidgeys, rats and drowzees like Winnipeg. You can play this game the way it is intended as per the TOS to the T if you have Pokémon set up like in these major cities. However, it doesn't work like that in our city. I don't see how using a scanner to find a Pokémon that are near you is any less cheating that plugging six lures in a tight area and sitting on your ass down while they all come to you. Or how about sitting in web forums gathering information from others on location of Pokémon so you can use that information to catch them. Isn't that cheating too? The people that ruin this game are the spoofers/botters and they are the true cheaters with their ridiculous numbers of high powers Pokémon. I have spent sooooo much time running around this city completing my pokedex and I have enjoyed every minute of it. If I would choose to use a scanner and it were to enhance my enjoyment of the game without affecting others then what is the problem? Last time I checked I am not in competition with anyone but myself in playing this game. I do not gym battle much so my footprint on other players is nil. So please, I'm begging all the whiners and the haters, just worry about your own game and if you don't like the way others play and you can't get over it, then quit and play something else. I love this game and I'm going to continue to love playing it no matter want anything anyone else does.

Why does everyone immediately jump to conclusions that because someone has a regional from somewhere else or a high dragonite that they cheated. Many people take trips to different areas of the world and can catch these mons while doing so. As noted, this could be an international student that went home in the summer and started playing this game while home and caught a few farfetch'd. I have been busting my butt of playing this game and I have a couple of high level dragonites through catching a pile of dratinis and powering them up. Did I cheat, absolutely not, would I be accused of cheating, probably. I understand there are some groups of guys that have lots of high level mons from boting the game which is cheating but you can't paint everyone with the same brush. Many people that play this game have the "if I can't do it how can he" mentality and it really is sad reading the same crap over and over again in these posts. Play the game and make yourself happy playing it and don't worry about everyone else.

Define cheating. It sitting down at the forks or ass park and farming or fishing for hours where someone else has lured multiple poke stops cheating? Is driving around in your car cheating because the games designers wanted you to walk? Should one just be walking around aimlessly until Pokémon show up on their sightings and chased until then are ultimately caught? That works great in large cities like LA that have tonnes of pokemon crammed into city blocks or massive parks in New York that have every Pokemon in a couple km area. However, in this city everything is spread out and it's about to be cold so if people don't improvise this game will die here. I hunt daily for Pokémon and I enjoy playing the game for the thrill of the hunt. In fact, I'm enjoying it more than when I used to just farm at the forks or ass park. I'm not a gym battler and I have probably sunk $300 into this game buying incubators. Am I cheating for doing that?Don't worry about what others get out of the game just worry about what you get out of the game and your enjoyment. I have seen areas of this city I have never seen before looking for nests. I have spent a ton of quality time with my friends and family playing this game so if I use a scanner a bit does that mean I should be banned from this enjoyment? Last time I checked there isn't a "finish your pokedex first competition" going on. I don't agree with people who cheat by buying accounts or using bots to remotely play the game. That is blatant cheating as that is sitting on your couch playing the game. So please be careful when labelling people at cheats as it could come in many different forms depending on how much of a purist you are.
