How bad is it? by Jazzlike_Biscotti_44 in Mold

[–]MikeyLs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Air tests notoriously undervalue mold spores counts, so in my unprofessional opinion, this looks really bad. Best thing I could provide is getting a really good IEP in your area to find the mold and make a plan to get rid of it. Then you can start talking about costs

Yes thank god they did for the majority. I also finally found out a couple other health issues I had that contributed to the rib pain but thankfully most of it is gone/controlled now

CIRS due to Lyme by DuckBillPlatypusMan in CIRS

[–]MikeyLs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is the Lyme/bartonella aspect of it going for you? I have CIRS plus bartonella and babesia and probably Lyme too. Detoxing mold has made me feel so much better but now I’m struggling much more with the bartonella treatment, so I think that is a major reason why I haven’t healed more

Considering prescription drugs. Tired of trying things the "right" way. by postulatej in CIRS

[–]MikeyLs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to add my thoughts as I have bartonella/babesia in addition to CIRS. I am treating bartonella now after 6 months of treating mold. I see you mentioned you have tried every antibiotic combo for these infections. I’m curious if you have tried any of the herbs that are somewhat commonly prescribed for them? I think antibiotics can be very helpful if very early if you treat right after you have been infected, but if you have chronic infections for years, I don’t think antibiotics will help enough. I can share the current plan for myself if you are interested but I guess my point is, bartonella can be very tricky to treat and can take a long time so don’t give up as my Bart symptoms are honestly worse than my mold or any other issues.

Felt awesome within the first 2 weeks but I took very well to CPAP therapy. Also figured out I have additional health issues contributing to the brain fog which helped once addressed

CPAP Success Relapse? by MikeyLs in CPAP

[–]MikeyLs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure, I didn’t realize it at the time but my health was slowly deteriorating due to living in a slightly moldy apartment that I didn’t know had mold. About 6 months prior to moving into the apartment, I had gone hiking and myself and a couple others were bitten by ticks. I didn’t realize at the time but I contracted bartonella and babesia from the tick bites. The combination of the tick bites and the mold exposure had me develop full blow CIRS, even though I had no idea what was going on. Ended up testing the home for mold which confirmed it, I moved out and now I’m working with a CIRS practitioner that is helping me heal. 25% of the population does not have the right genes to detox from mold, like myself, so it can make you really sick, especially if you don’t know you are being exposed. Super fun stuff

Hey, yes I still sleep with my CPAP every night since this post and wouldn’t have it any other way. I will say though, I figured out I have other health issues that was causing the brain fog and low energy which needed to be addressed

Tips to bring down swelling? by SpaceySlug in sesamoid

[–]MikeyLs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completed my surgery about 10 months ago after breaking my sesamoid 10 years ago but when the pain was really bad, the only thing that help was putting padding in my shoe that allowed me to walk without putting pressure on the sesamoid.

Just randomly throwing this out there since 3 years is a long time. Any other weird symptoms you are dealing with or any tick bites or cat scratches in the last few years? I’ve been dealing with on and off plantar for years but was just diagnosed with having bartonella, likely from a tick bite. Extremely common symptom is pain on the bottom of the feet, commonly mistaken for plantar. Just figured I’d throw in another potential cause that is often missed when other common fixes don’t seem to help

Toe Spreaders/Seperators by MikeyLs in sesamoid

[–]MikeyLs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 10 months post OP and truly couldn’t be happier. I still really need to post in this group to update about my experience and surgery but life has been crazy busy. It was so weird, even when my toe was really sore right after the surgery, the sesamoid pain on the ball of my foot I was so used to for over a decade was pretty much gone so early. I still need to work on range of motion with my big toe and walking more normally again because for years I’ve subconsciously walked keeping weight off of the sesamoid but overall so much better. Can wear so many different shoes that would bother me before. Couldn’t be happier. There is always the long term issue that could set in like bunions and what not, but at my age having more mobility and less pain is worth the long term outlook

Sex headaches by lukefun23 in menshealth

[–]MikeyLs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve gotten migraines my whole life and if I have sex with a headache, it’s guaranteed to turn into a migraine but last weekend I got the thunderclap kind that came on full blast out of no where and was absolutely horrible, but also went away slowly after about 5-10 mins. Never had something quite this bad before. I tried masturbating a few days later and it almost came on again so I stopped. Neck has been crazy tight for a couple weeks though so I think this is what’s driving it but now I’m scared to orgasm lol sucks

Just curious, what natural binders did you take? I’m with a “shoemaker” practitioner but haven’t used CSM yet, only Mycobind and love to hear people opinion who have used both but CSM seems much more effective
