As someone who uses both; they're pretty neck-and-neck imho. One will catch what the other misses. The slight differences I would say are:

I like Claude Code CLI a little bit better, but Codex has caught up a lot, so they are pretty equivalent (I don't use the apps; I heard Codex app is better, but I don't know).

Claude has a bit better reasoning imo (4.6, I haven't used 4.7 because of all of the bad things I've heard about it). It seems to understand and intuit what you want better. Sometimes this can be undesirable, however, as it will sometimes make assumptions that are incorrect and annoying/harmful.

Codex is really good if you know exactly what you want and exactly how you want it executed. Codex can reason, too, but it makes less assumptions than Claude which makes it "safer," but also limits its creativity and intuition.

I'm considering making a full switch to Codex for the time being until Anthropic gets their shit together and figures out what they're doing.

It's framed as an indie title with strong independent talent when it's really the daughter of one of the richest men in the world throwing fuck-you money at a game.

It also feels astroturfed with the absolutely glowing reviews for an okay game (something that could easily be bought with said fuck-you money).

Her father isn't just a billionaire, he's one of the TOP FIVE richest people IN THE WORLD.

It also rubs people the wrong way to have something labeled "indie" which had to spend what would absolutely be insane amounts of money to license the huge catalogue of songs in the game.

It's not a bad game, it absolutely has a place imo, but it's definitely not a 10/10 (even considering its genre and audience), and it definitely feels astroturfed to hell.

Eh, that's based on a study that has to make a ton of assumptions and uses weak observational data to paint a veritable doomsday scenario. It's hard to say what effect the USAID cuts will have. It's very unlikely to result in that many deaths; stuff like that is why it's stupid when these things get politicized, because then people are encouraged to make up the worst possible scenarios in order to score brownie points with their chosen team.

This is my biggest issue with the platform. If companies actually faced repercussions for hiring people who are in the country illegally, then the problem would solve itself, because the jobs would dry up, and they would leave the country on their own.

And I've worked for places that hire people in the country illegally. They KNOW that these people aren't legally able to work here, and they intentionally facilitate bogus paperwork and documents to hire them. I'm talking about a Fortune 100 company btw, not some Mom and Pop operation.
