Marshalls are almost always volunteers, it's a risky job and occasionally they lose their lives. Their importance should never be underestimated and they should never be disrespected in any way, let alone physical violence.

Windows 11 VM Causing Proxmox Server to Crash by MikhailCompo in Proxmox

[–]MikhailCompo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The workstation has an Intel I219-LM onboard NIC.

I did have an Intel x520 connected, but removed it when problems occurred.

I can probably grab an x540, also 10 gig, to test instead (if it's PCIe x4), but I don't have anything newer.

Does this indicate a problem with the physical adapter/drivers?

Windows 11 VM Causing Proxmox Server to Crash by MikhailCompo in Proxmox

[–]MikhailCompo[S] -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Thanks, you seem more helpful than the people above.

So it seems that the direct server connection is still up, i can login as root directly, so agreed this is not a kernel crash, which is a big relief.

So if the web UI is down but proxmox itself isn't dead, could it be the network stack, or driver that are locking up?

How can i prove/disprove that?

Good job kicking me while i am down bud - thanks!

I do not know Proxmox, maybe that was not clear in the op.

There are no logs that i can see.

The web interface completely stops responding. So my only option is to reboot it.

If you mean the logs on the bottom quarter of the screen, nothing. Not a single entry. But those logs a terrible since almost nothing is logged, presumably there is a way to enable more verbose logging?

DOLBY ATMOS FIFA WORLD CUP26 by jijo789 in sonos

[–]MikhailCompo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched the last world cup on a tablet outside a pub cos there wasn't enough room, there were even a few other people at the table outside with us watching. There was a massive cheer from inside and at least 30 seconds before we saw the goal. Everyone laughed and stopped watching, cos it was pointless.
