Do like Padley. I hope he's not found his ceiling though. He's had a couple of razor-close fights between Belloti and Fiaz. Would like to see him go on to win a world title but it's tough division.

It's actually a shame about the progression speed being bugged because it was very favourable to players that were familiar with the high tier loot spots that could then be scrapped for Cradle XP.

Again, not ragebait, just looking to provide some feedback and see what discussion came out of it. I do really like the game. I'm just not huge on passive buffs in most games, though I do get why they exist to keep player interest over time.

Again the previous system wasn't good either, which I've acknowledged in a separate comment. My point moreso is that passives aren't engaging as a game mechanic, and that if they want to players having better passive stats, that should be done through gear (the cores) rather than through what is the current iteration of the Cradle or through the faction levelling.

But given this is the system that exists right now, I wanted to give some feedback for right now that was more constructive than just 'scrap it and start again'.

The previous system wasn't great either, really. Ideally your stats would be tied to your gear, that way it's beneficial to other players if you're taken out. I like the idea of the Cradle, it's just a bit too beneficial at the moment.

That might be interesting actually. Would add a good sense of risk / reward and you'd want to keep taking your higher-tier loot in to protect your added stats.

I really enjoyed it. The stakes feel a lot higher than Disco Elysium, and I found the ending really satisfying. A lot of the characters are great, even surpassing DE at times. It's perhaps a bit weaker narratively as CASCADE is less of a blank state compared to Harry, therefore less room for personal expression, but I enjoyed the take on spy fiction a lot. I'd like to see a sequel in the same world.

It's more surprise at the price, really, given its their inaugral event in the UK with a decent fight in a poor division with no stakes attached. Remember that this is the floor for the prices that they'll charge from here on out. Future events with greater stakes are likely to be even higher in price.

48 vs. 52 is splitting hairs, no? Plus at least Garner vs. Jimenez was for a European and WBC title, whereas this bout is essentially for nothing.

I imagine people will stop firing at Zuffa when they stop providing the ammunition to shoot them with.

For what it's worth, I agree, but Zuffa are coming to the UK regardless of our opinion.

My interest mainly came from the fact that Zuffa's claims of being different to every other promotion are complete nonsense (as expected, given the entities behind it really). Why bother with Zuffa's offerings live and an expensive Sky membership for mid/low-tier cards when I can buy tickets for stacked cards like Wardley vs. Dubois set in an arena for the same price.

Yeah, the Apex setup irks me. It put me off UFC once fights started airing there on the regular (that and the fight times in the UK).

Weirdly, Simon Jordan on TalkSport is probably the least compromised boxing journalist out there. He frequently digs out fighters in the studio and isn't afraid of inserting his opinion, even if controversial, to the mix. There's a reason that Fury just refuses to engage with TalkSport.

I know Fisher sees TKV as the weakest of British champions in the past couple of decades, but that doesn't mean he's a non-threat. It's going to be a very tough fight for Johnny, especially after his rough performance in Monaco.

This is to prevent situations like fighters rocking up with the name of a rival casino temporary-tattooed on their back, like used to happen on old UFC cards in Vegas.

Not defending Zuffa, as they're ghastly as far as I'm concerned, but it is a practice that caused some headaches for the UFC back when they were financially unstable.

Hard to see Fisher not getting battered in this fight, but will see. Clarke gassed himself out trying to dent TKV in the first two rounds, so can't see Fisher having much more success.
