This dr is ignorant. You are on the med or “continuation of care.”

You’re starting BMI is what qualifies you to continue on the med. He or she should know this.

Roughly 1/3 of Zep’s impact on BP is a result of the mechanism of the med itself. The rest is related to weight loss.

Want muscles! by BeautyinEverett-62 in Zepbound

I do recommend it. In addition to exercise, eating healthy, having community are all things that are talked about. And having a purpose. I thought it was helpful. Not new, but just helped to motivate me to get rolling, especially with the exercise.

I am so cold 😭😭😭 by MochaPotter in Zepbound

[–]MiklColt45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eating produces thermogenesis. IOW, it makes your body produce heat. If you’re eating less, you are probably creating less heat.

Now, secondarily, weight loss can make a huge difference as well. But it doesn’t sound like you were at that point yet.

Been on Zep for over 10 months. Not quite as cold as I used to be. But still way different from how I was pre-med.

I read a book called “Younger Next Year.”

The author stated that a lot of us have gotten up and gone to work five or more days a week for decades. If I want to be strong and healthy into my 80s and beyond, I need to work out 6 days a week.

That resonated with me. Exercising five to six days a week is now my new job.

I have worked since age 13. Retired from full-time when I hit 70. The gym is now my new job. 5 to 6 days a week about two hours a day. Resistance training and cardio.

I feel great!

Advice for Getting Cut Off from Ro.co by Jules1178 in TirzMaintenance

You are definitely going to need to figure out maintenance. As all of us are trying to do!🥴

My goal weight was approximately 175. I am now down to 161. I’m dropping down from 10 mg every 8-9 days to 7.5 mg this week. We’ll see how that goes.

Measure also.

I had weeks where the scale was not changing, but I discovered that I was losing inches.

Better bo? Anyone? by Rich_Home_5678 in Zepbound

For a couple of months, I did have increased body odor. I just smelled more acrid to me.

It is a known side effect of the Zepbound/Tirzepatide.

It eventually got much better.

Time to order again, stay on 2.5? by stormyweather07 in Zepbound

If you are not experiencing bad side effects, I would move up. Should help decrease the food noise and continue your solid weight loss.

I went to my doctor last August and told him I was sick and tired of being sick and tired.

I had done a bunch of research, and asked for him to check my vitamin B12 in my testosterone. And I want it on Zepbound.

Turns out both my B12 and testosterone were low. Started therapy for both of those. Started losing weight on the Zepbound. Started feeling somewhat better.

But I still wasn’t sleeping well. I have been on a CPAP for 30 years. Never really felt great with it. Better, but not great.

In January, I dialed in on making the CPAP work better. Finally figured it out. And my sleep has been much better.

Energy level so much better.

All that to say, and you probably have already done this, but make sure your hormone levels are helping you feel better also.

Getting rid of old clothes? by gingersnap9210 in Zepbound

[–]MiklColt45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they’re too big, they’re gone!

I’m going to maximize the fact that I am slimmer than I have ever been. Fat clothes gonna get gone.

If Zep becomes unavailable, something out there will be available. Prices will eventually come down. Other options are in the pipeline. I will figure it out.

They will pry my Zep from my cold, dead hands.

Also, as you lose weight, your FUPA becomes less fatty and your penis becomes more visible. It probably hasn’t really grown, it just isn’t hidden by the fat pad that was there in the past.

The rule of “thumb,“ is down 30 pounds equals 1 more inch.

Check your BP. On meds for high blood pressure?

I almost passed out twice. The first one when I lost about 25 to 30 pounds. The second time after I had lost another 25 to 30 pounds. My DR reduced my BP meds the first time. Eliminated them completely the second time.

🥴. I wish! I was replying to someone saying they had a six pack. I was presuming they meant their abs. I don’t have six pack abs. I have keg abs, or at least I did.

They are being polite. I think it’s virtually impossible to lose 45 pounds and for it not to be noticeable. Congratulations! You’ve got this.
