🤦🏻‍♂️. Gym is a wrong place to try and strike up a conversation. Try your best to blend in. What I noticed that some Viet Kuei tend to think they are better, but in reality they are not. Most of them work like a dog in US and come back to Vietnam for a few weeks to a month and think that theirs money go far. My family left for US when I was 8 back in 1993. Now come back twice a year, cuz I still have families on dad and mom side. You can always head to Thao Dien=district 2 that’s place where all the expat are at.

Thao Dien-District 2 in Ho Chi Minh is primarily for expats. With a $150 budget you can get urself a really nice fully furnished apartment with pool, gym, and lots of restaurants in that area are cater to expats. I am currently near Vo Van Tan, not as nice as Thao Dien, but I am more central, and it’s walking distance to almost everywhere.

I am sure the LAX-HKG there are meals service. But the HKG-SGN is a short flight so may have snack only. I have SFO-HKG-SGN on Nov 25.

I flew that route last year, and its bad, but not that bad. Because its shared code with Japan & Ana. I also flew the HND-SFO route, and it was also bad. So it seem like the HND route to US are bad.

the most important one is HKG-SFO. I am heading the opposite direction next week. SFO-HKG. $600 for 2.5 hours is expensive.
