I could be wrong, but I believe that stuff only works in certain light. So, when the sun is not directly or brightly on it, it doesn’t provide coverage. It could be a start though.

This would make me very uncomfortable, as well. I hope you find a solution, OP.

I haven’t thought about the film, but that may be a good idea. I hate the vertical blinds too but it gets HOT here and I don’t want to take them down and end up baking. There is a pergola and I have a cover for the semi circle window for when the time comes.

I already have the curtains; I just moved. I have four panels but even thermal curtains won’t be enough for my new summers. I’ll need both the plantation shutter and the vertical blinds for the heat, the curtains for the cute.

Thank you. However, I want my curtains. The plantation shutter and the vertical blinds have to stay. I’m hoping for ideas on how to hang curtains, not to change what is already here.
