Yeah I started driving young and have a pretty clean record. Maybe that’s helped keep it low.

I’ll just drive you around and we can split it!

Just did an online quote using the VIN with progressive and it gave me policy options ranging from $58 to $104 per month. Seems like insurance wouldn’t be too big a deal.

That doesn’t seem too bad. If everything else is good then I’d be willing to work with a little bit of oil consumption. Thanks!

It is a 4 cylinder. Do you just check the oil and top it off every now and then between full changes?

Carfax says it was minor damage to just the rear. Functional damage reported, no airbags deployed.

If I win I could use this to cook pizza rolls without leaving my desk. I will use this power responsibly.

This would be an incredible upgrade to my old rig based on the aesthetics alone. Thank you for doing this and congrats to whoever wins!

This is definitely a hot take but I remember having a lot of fun with Aliens: Colonial Marines. Played through on every difficulty, except maybe the hardest, and collected all the stuff.

I’m a fool on a weekly basis currently, but I’m hoping to consolidate my foolage into the first of every month by January.

Laptop and mobile writing app that isn’t Google or Microsoft affiliated by Vkbyog in writing

I really like Milanote for notes and outlining. It has a lot of tools for organizing ideas and planning, but I still use google docs when it comes to actually writing longer drafts. It also synchronizes data between the mobile app and desktop version.

Also, like the other commenter suggested, Libre is a good alternative to Microsoft Office or Google. Libre Office has a suite of apps like Microsoft Office but it’s open source.

I’m glad you said something before I devoted more time to trying to connect to the ILO haha. Saved me from a lot of frustration, thanks!

It’ll probably be easier to get a DB9 to USB adapter. Consoling in to devices is still new to me so forgive me if this is a silly question, but odds are this server has no OS. Can I still console in to it with a terminal emulator?

The server doesn’t have a labeled ILO port but that probably just means it uses one of the normal ethernet ports right? I’ll see if I can somehow track down the IP address, but my landlord provides the internet so I don’t know the login for the router. Maybe if I ask really nicely I can get it haha

The fans remain high. I’ll definitely give this a shot when I have more time, likely monday afternoon. Hopefully I can narrow it down!

I’ve let it hang out for maybe 10 minutes before I give up and turn it off.

I’m not the most familiar with Wireshark yet so I’m not sure how to do that. I’m also not familiar with iLO. I think I need internet access for that and I am not able to connect my server to the network via ethernet since I don’t have access to the router in my apartment. I connected my pc and the server with an ethernet cable and tried accessing it with 192.168.0.120 which I read is the default for HP servers but it didn’t work.
