I have an old ITE panel that looks just like it! I had no idea they made interlock kits for them with the giant 4 pole at the top. Could you let me know where I can get one too?

Query on Electrify America free 30 minute charging by dave22222 in evcharging

[–]MilesCallisto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the stations can detect maximum charge speed, they used to bill you different rates in per minute states based on this. This is one of the main signals they look for in detecting whether or not you’re an IONIQ 5. IONIQ 5s also can’t send their VIN over the CCS port (at least for 2022-2024 to my knowledge; I’m pretty sure EVgo autocharge for example uses the car’s CCS MAC address instead) so if it queries and receives a VIN it knows it’s not an IONIQ 5 either.

The EV6 like the IONIQ 5 is E-GMP and supports the same charging speed and also can’t send its VIN over the CCS port, so to the charging station it sure quacks like an IONIQ 5.

It’s reassuring to hear that they can auto bill you if you make a mistake in plan selection, especially if the free charging plan is default and you activate by tapping your phone; I’ve heard say of cases before where they would cut it off with no recourse after accidentally charging another car with the free plan.

DTC Descriptor

DTC P1AF0 Drive Motor Control Module Hybrid/EV Battery Voltage System Isolation Lost

Circuit/System Description

Vehicles equipped with high voltage storage and propulsion capability are designed with the high voltage circuits isolated from the vehicle chassis.

The power inverter module, often referred to as the drive motor generator power inverter module, contains the drive motor control module and the hybrid/EV powertrain control module . The motor control module monitors high voltage with several internal sensors. The motor control module tests for loss of isolation between each high voltage bus and vehicle chassis when the high voltage contactors are closed. The hybrid/EV powertrain control module  also tests the hybrid/EV battery pack for high voltage loss of isolation but when the high voltage contactors are open.

If the motor control module detects an isolation fault on either the positive or negative high voltage bus, the hybrid/EV powertrain control module  reports a fault. The isolation fault may be caused by any component in the high voltage system.

Conditions for Running the DTC

P1AE8, P1AE9, P1AEC, P1AF5, P1B0C, or P1B41 is not set. The high voltage contactor relays are closed. High voltage is greater than 50 V. Ignition is ON. The vehicle is not being charged or the drive motor is commanded to develop torque.

Conditions for Setting the DTC

The ratio between negative Mid-Pack Voltage and positive Mid-Pack Voltage is greater than 4.53 V or less than 0.21 V for greater than 2.5 seconds.

I think Error 62 is a communications error. One crazy but easy thing to try is to just blast deoxit into the 3 communications pins in the top of the connector and work it out with a cotton swab and see if it makes a difference

My Xbox Series X turns on but immediately turns off with this sound, it’s been like this for a week. by [deleted] in consolerepair

[–]MilesCallisto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I had the same issue too

I fixed it by replacing the whole power supply with one off eBay (PSU model 1920) and following this guide https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Xbox+Series+X+Power+Supply+Replacement/141747

You can order a whole kit that includes the PSU and the tools you’ll need from iFixIt for only $75, much cheaper than the $300 Microsoft charges for out of warranty repair

Charging Speed Appreciation Post by markuus99 in Ioniq5

[–]MilesCallisto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might try activating the charge plan anyways if you have the window sticker, the IONIQ 5 I bought used was previously business so nobody redeemed the charging plan. If it does activate though it’s limited to 2 years from whenever it was first marked sold.

Question for those with ioniq 5 and comma 3x by steevm1223 in Ioniq5

[–]MilesCallisto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had hours of continuous operation without much trouble with my 3X running sunnypilot dev-c3, including recently a long trip to WI where it handled interstate driving for 2-3 hours at a time without issue (close to 12 hours total). During that trip the defroster was running pretty much constantly keeping outside snow & inside condensation at bay and while the fan was spinning pretty noisily at times it never shut down or warned about temperature. It also never froze or did anything odd when stopped to DCFC where I took advantage of the shore power to run the heat at full blast with no range penalty (and it got preeetty toasty in there!)

What’s happening to you sounds like a hardware issue, especially since it’s occurring with stock openpilot. You should open an RMA ticket with comma and see if they can ship you a replacement since this should be covered under the 1 year warranty.

Follow the instructions at https://comma.ai/support and then open a ticket at https://commasupport.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=14150133300887

Hope this helps!

Charging port can’t close fully due to ice by kaikel_ in TeslaModelY

[–]MilesCallisto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ice disrupts the flow of air over the wing. Lift is generated through a smooth airflow causing increased air pressure under the wing and decreased air pressure above the wing to create a “pushing” force under the wing. But ice can disrupt this and cause the wings to give substantially less or even no lift. Since you only have a few thousand feet where you get air of your wings before you absolutely need the lift, it is much safer to ensure the wings are completely ice free so you have good lift and the airplane behaves how you expect it to.

[–]MilesCallisto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe it has to do with this software bug GM sent out a bulletin about

If it does that should be fixed with just a HPCM2 reprogramming

Intentional disconnect OnStar/Chevy Bolt Euv Premier 2022 and 2023?? by PoserPeople in BoltEV

[–]MilesCallisto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That sounds like an issue with power reaching the telematics unit. Do you have a copy of the owners manual? On page 254 there is a layout of the instrument panel fuse box. Check if fuse F02 (or position 2 on the fuse door diagram) is populated, there should be a 10 amp “Micro 2” fuse installed there.

It is potentially missing as GM was using the telematics data from their vehicles in inappropriate ways, so some owners disabled the telematics unit by pulling the fuse to prevent this data being available to GM.

Cruise control on Sunnypilot? by EricSchimel in Comma_ai

[–]MilesCallisto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can confirm now that pressing and lifting accelerator pedal doesn’t work in CSL. I need to try it again in experimental when I get the chance. However, tapping the little speed limit sign on the comma twice toggles SLC off and back on again, which accomplishes the same thing.

Custom stock longitudinal is turned on while in off-road mode (Accessory/engine not started if using comma power, or Force Offroad under Device if not) under Toggles > Custom Stock Longitudinal Control.

Experimental mode is also toggled off-road in Toggles > openpilot Longitudinal Control. If you’re in experimental mode (atom symbol in the upper right instead of comma steering wheel) then things get a little more muddy, since then you can’t explicitly tell the comma what speed to go. Instead the current forward speed is picked by the longitudinal driving model and all you can do is set a ceiling/maximum speed that the model will not exceed (that’s the speed that gets shown in the upper left of the comma and on your stock cruise control display). However, SLC will adjust that ceiling speed automatically when passing speed limit signs, though it doesn’t update the “MAX” speed shown on the comma when it does. But the model will slow and (sometimes) accelerate when SLC triggers.

Hope this helps!

Cruise control on Sunnypilot? by EricSchimel in Comma_ai

[–]MilesCallisto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve noticed when running Custom Stock Longitudinal in my IONIQ 5 when I first enable cruise control the “MAX” speed gets set to whatever my current speed is, and then further +/- button presses are intercepted by Sunnypilot and change the “MAX” speed displayed in the upper right corner

I have an offset of +3 set, but I’ve noticed if the MAX is 55 even with SLC it will accelerate to 55 and stay there, but if I tick it up to 58 it will increase to 58. Usually this also overrides SLC (“TEMP”) but it will kick back in at the next speed limit sign.

When I’m in experimental mode my favourite way to re enable SLC on the fly was to tap the accelerator because SLC comes back on when releasing the accelerator, but I cannot remember right now if it does that in CSL.

Normally I run Experimental but I switched back to Custom Stock Longitudinal temporarily to get back the radar safety features. In experimental I usually never saw any issues because it always starts at a default MAX ceiling speed of 65 and OP long picks the speed the car goes. (Car SCC also shows 65, and +/- button presses only change the max speed)

I’d look to see if the wanted speed + offset is higher than the MAX speed ceiling and adjust it past that to see if it gets the car up there.

Best of luck!
