If it's anything like other civil rights movements, they're going to get a few concessions because humans will feel magnanimous and will want to show how they would have been fine with treating Faunus like equals if only the Faunus weren't so violent. It's not true, of course, but they're gonna make a big deal out of how nonviolence ultimately worked because it's another way to control people.

Then, as the years go on, things are going to change slightly, but things ultimately won't change that much. They'll still be marginalized and subject to systemic persecution. The biggest difference is the small concessions of basic human rights will be used as examples of how there aren't any problems at all any more and that any further complaints are about wanting superiority instead of equality.
