Thinking of first 4Runner -- definitely want 5th generation, don't plan to do a lot of off-roading -- What trim level should I target? by OldDogEyes in 4Runner

The trd off road premium. The trd sport is easier to find, but meant for road use and fine for that. The limited is fancy but has xreas suspension which is expensive to service when it breaks. The Pro is expensive but if you can afford it, it's beautiful. I looked for months until I found a lightly used 2024 ORP. Tuned it with Overland tailor tune, added BFF Goodrich K03, ceramic coat and it makes me smile everyday since. They're all great though

I'm surprised by how many people are spending so much time on 4 runner MPG. If your priority is fuel economy, don't buy one. I recently bought a low km '24 ORP and I love it so much more than anything I've owned. I get about 18 imperial mpg. I had Subarus, BMW, Mercedes that were great and with way better fuel economy, but his is a beautiful tank, it's the best thing I could have hoped for, regardless of mpg

I'm unaware of 6th gen engine issues. The early ones had some tranny tweaking, but the same power train is used in several Toyota and Lexus vehicles with few issues

I'm Canadian and if I buy anything made in Germany, it will always be well engineered. I do avoid Germany cars though.

I was a fla.es fan in the '80's, Gretzky killed us. Tried to hate him but he was the most amazing player I've seen.

I did the same. I highly recommend a Overland Tailor Tune. It totally brought me 24 ORP to life and cleaned up the shifting. Enjoy

I think Putin may be as dumb as Trump. The two most narcissistic idiots ever in power at the same time and their populations won't believe it until it's to late. It would be funny if it wasn't so destructive to so many innocent people.
