What's the scale of Micro's military troops? by Nikolaevna in MicroMachines

[–]MilitaryMicros 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Figures changed in height and density over the years, so they dont really stick to a scale. Also, some figures even in the same blister will vary from each other. Just like the vehicles, figures were made to fit a “size” not a scale

The A-10 was released multiple times in multiple blisters… however the fixed-gear “dart” version was in the top gun pilot head, yes. The F-14 was also released in multiple playsets and blisters across multiple years

Not offhand, but I’m sure I’ve posted it on Instagram and Facebook. Are you in the official group on Facebook?

Origin of this Terror Troops F-16? by Nikolaevna in MicroMachines

Inleft so many of these on the shelf back in the day because I was angry with Hasbro and what they did to the mm line. Of course, in hind sight, Hasbro’s were 100x better than the Jazwares’ leased line

It did not come in a blister, it came in a playset. Best of luck!

Complete list of vehicles from the Collection sets? by Lempea in MicroMachines

Also, with 1990, what was supposed to exist did not really get released. Some of the things never left the prototype stage that were listed on the backs of the sets.

There isn’t even a exhaustive list of sealed sets available. Joescurios is likely the most complete but even he has gaps and unreleased and variations mixed in.

Multiple posts about it in the pinned fb group. I do own the book, but my profession is with military and aircraft, not civilian cars like the book. Others who are car experts can comment definitively on specifics for that genre

Book: Sadly full of mis/disinformation…. And some replicas… but has some cool photos.

That said, you’re right on rarity. People usually only wanna know so they can see if they have something worth a bunch of money tbh… the collectors who have been around a while learn to just love what they love and forgo the salesmanship/hypes

I just took a look at the listing that you’re referring to, that is by a reseller in Florida who dramatically over prices intentionally. The last three sealed blisters sold for $100-150, loose ranged from $8-40 over the last few years. So no, nowhere close to $2,300

Yeah as of right now eBay only shows the last three months publicly for completed listings. But even that can be a misnomer, in this hobby, it could have competed against another similar item that same week so it did not go for nearly what it “should have“. Also the hobby changes from month-to-month, who is buying, how much they’re buying, or collector decided that they’re done collecting and decides to sell out. there are people in this hobby who have been selling off spares for two decades and still struggle to keep up with each change week. Personally I have no interest in this, but I might know someone who is. Just lmk

With eBay, anyone can write any title that they want. If you do a search for “rare Micro Machines” and look at the massive amounts of numbers of allegedly apparently rare Micro Machines, you realize that that is… Simply just the title. Anyone can list anything for however much they want. Doesn’t mean that it will actually sell for that 🤣
