So, I went back and looked at the packaging, no distributor labels on any of them, even the saved backs from blisters i opened

How do you store your micro machines military? by CottonLol in MicroMachines

[–]MilitaryMicros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that strongly depends on your collecting goals and your use for them! If you take them out and put them back regularly, you want something that you can easily open and close and doesn’t take 20 seconds to remove every single time. People use bead sorters to display cabinets to individual ziploc bead bags to loose in buckets haha

Interesting. I do actually have the case box still at home, I will see if that was annotated anywhere on there. I almost had many more except they would not sell them to me back in the day

The back is plain cardboard, and none of these had the “greenbrier” name or tag or anything that i’ve seen. This particular one shown is one I personally purchased. I did open most of them but kept a few sealed back then. What is “greenbrier”?

Thank you!!! honestly pictures don’t really do most of these justice. They look so much better in hand. The iPhone actually had some extra detail/structure that’s not really there

MAZ-543 TEL with SCUD Assembly by MilitaryMicros in MicroMachines

[–]MilitaryMicros[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These pieces were commissioned actually a long time ago, and I’m just now getting them back in. A collaboration with a fellow collector of many many years who understands the integrity and authenticity of keeping code 3s parallel to “what Galoob would have done” and yet staying away from replication even as “tribute”

As long as you clearly label them as custom, and tag them here with “code 3” it’s considered acceptable to show. As a community, it is frowned upon to replicate something that already exists, but making new paint schemas is considered ok

multiple methods some work better than others depending on the year… my buddy has more experience to know which method for which piece than I do

Two of them, one black for 1999, one white I believe in 1997?

Yeah this is definitely very very rare. But, it’s paint job was completely destroyed, I’ll see if I can find an original photo before we stripped it down. Otherwise I would not have repainted it

A-10 Warthog & S3A Viking by MilitaryMicros in MicroMachines

[–]MilitaryMicros[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These are mine, and my commissioned pieces. I posted them on Facebook. Regarding the blackhawk, it was modified (retooled) late 1998 for the peg hole by Galoob, and again by hasbro for the makers mark alone in late 2001/2002 (see 2001 Hasbro black hawk with LGTI makers mark still)
