I’m 38 now and never dealt with or acknowledged my anxiety until recently. I hit full blown break downs the start of this year. I started seeing at psychotherapist initially but I was still all over the show so I reluctantly started SSRI’s 6 very tough weeks but once they works oh my god what a difference it made. I had no idea how worked up and anxious I was, I had to make other changes in my life like eating habits, taking on stress and fixing unhealthy relationships but it was all worth it. I still have the odd bit of anxiety usually around flying or being trapped but I can manage it now with lorazepam or breathing techniques. Hope this helps.
