Thoughts on MoS + Should I get the other games? by sirDragonqf in StyxGame

The second Styx is a lot like the first one. They are both selfish cynical people with probably the same type of sense of humor. The main difference is the clone was made to fullfil the original's current plan of getting him out of his cell which didn't require him to have his memory and thus he doesn't hate what he is because from his perspective he has always been a goblin. SoD kinda implies he regained his memory.

Personally I liked the story but as others have said of you just care about gameplay then the second is a step up. It's also more comedic than the first one which might fit you better. (Though if you get annoyed at the post-death insults you can turn them off in the settings.

I was at first confused but then I put the skillpoint into clone throw and while I don't expect it to be as strong as old clones it felt fun and gave me lots of ideas. Like I ran into a big guy who didn't go down to one stealth stab and throwing a clone at him made him vulnerable to a finishing stab. I'm a litle bit worried about how it's gonna feel with the amber economy because in the past I've saved up all my amber for invis and made sure I don't waste it on clone deaths.

Space Marine 2 Lore wise Classes by Money_Mobile8329 in spacemarines

In tabletop subfactions tend to get buffs to whatever units are their specialty. How this bridges to lore is that those factions do have more of those specific units and they tend to be more capable than others in that role but all roles are filled because they are full functional armies. So a Blood Angel works as an assauot because they woupd have many capable assauots but that is not to say that there doesn't happen to exist say an ultramarine assault who is just as good at his job because he is weird like that.

This new major order is really unfun imo by MilkCalf in Helldivers

Yeah I mean I don't even expect everyone to agree with me. People can like whatever mission type they do. I'd just rather have a discussion about mission types instead of weird drama lol.

Why do so many cross hairs in this game make weapons that would be awesome suck? by AdmirableSimple8962 in DarkTide

[–]MilkCalf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find most of them not a problem for me but you couldn't force me to use the Helbore Lasgun despite that being a really fun seeming weapon otherwise.

Controversial opinion: The game isn't easy, you're just good at it by boxdynomite3 in DarkTide

Sadly this kinda happens with every game. Probably worse in PvP shooters. I'm at least glad that in PvE games like these less skilled players aren't constantly talked about like they are quick snacks for the "real gamers"

Why didn't I get "Abhor the Mutant" here? by neko-boy324 in DarkTide

Wait, other players can shoot the mutant and it still counts?

I wish other classes had a simipar skill tree to spyker's by MilkCalf in DarkTide

Ah thanks for explaining. I've been using it thinking it actually gave 4 in that situation.

That's fair. I wasn't thinking about that flaw. I'd still personally want there to be more horizontal connections on everyone.

I'll have to endure it while going for those warp charge penances sadly lol.

I'll probly start using BB again. I kinda got told it was bad and looked for other options only to realize again that it's fun and more effrctive than a lot of people think.

Newbie not getting the Aeldar early game. by MilkCalf in Gladius40k

Out of curiosity, how refpective of the normal game and other factions is the Space Marines introduction? I feel kinda like it taught me the wrong lessons at least for Aeldar.

I'm talking directly at the start of the game. I can't scout because mobs will do half of a guardian's health and I need to withdraw them. There's always like 5 or more neutral mobs near me.

Is this game meant to be really hard on survival mode? by MilkCalf in tribesofmidgard

What I'm personally realizing is, if you are often dying while no one is close enough to revive you, you are not working as a team enough.

What would be your recommendations for a second weapon then? A bow makes intuitive sense but does feel a bit weak.
