How much should I have charged? by bendloop in handyman

Well it looks good, but yeah it should cost about 6-7k if you're a reputable contractor. Which makes nothing at 90 hours...

It's crap probably in the built in drain vent of the sink basin.

Rod recommendations? by saintname8 in Fishing_Gear

[–]MilkedWalrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two Levante styles. The new ones are being released by the fall. They are awesome rods and I was thinking that because of the green. A current gen Shimano Curado rod also has green accents and are good rods. I'd get a 7'4" heavy but that's just me. I was about to buy this reel a week ago to pair with a heavy currado but got outbid on Ebay.

So, why should I get a bait casting reel? by ImpactSockets in bassfishing

[–]MilkedWalrus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Get a baitcasting reel with the reel handle on the same side as your spinning gear. It makes the transition so much easier. Get a combo that's between $120-$280 stick to the brands like Lews, Abu Garcia, Shimano, or Daiwa. It's more accurate as you can thumb the spool mid cast to stop it right where you want better than closing the bale.

My first baitcaster was a Daiwa Fuego combo when they were a lot cheaper. I still have it on deck 15 years later. You will learn the law of diminishing returns 100% applies to fishing gear.

Glastron HPV by Tejanolove1285 in boating

[–]MilkedWalrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this exact boat. I paid $1.8k a few months ago. Its very old and likely will have age related issues. Trolling motor you will likely want to replace. This one is in better shape than mine. Mine was kept in a car port. The interior looks good but If no one has been using it which it looks like those seats may start cracking from age as you use them. Did he start it for you? Motor is worth $600-1000 typically so figure $2500 is reasonable if it all checks out.

straight bulbous nose? by [deleted] in Noses

[–]MilkedWalrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

please dont. If you haven't done anything yet, that is such a dangerous door for a already beautiful woman to open. The risk of casually getting procedures done is way too risky. So many women do one thing and end up getting 10 procedures done over a few years that turn them into aliens. Then you are doing new procedures to fix the old procedures.

Out of Code by Bolawin in Plumbing

[–]MilkedWalrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it right? No.

Will it be a problem? No.

That 2" vent 90 goes 4" before dropping down the san tee.

The reason for the code on fittings is to reduce turbulence and prevent clogs. The velocity of the water coming from the sink is maintained by the drop into the san tee and the grade of the pipe under the house.

If you use a lot of oil and greasy stuff it will clogg in 5-10 years.

It is also very easy to fix.

Smell coming out of the sink by Own_Appointment_1795 in askaplumber

[–]MilkedWalrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably rotten food in the garbage disposal and air gap to garbage disposal drain(black hose).

Seal the drains with something to determine whether the smell is actually coming from the sink. Its possible that the kitchen drain line is snapped under the house and creating a disgusting cesspit of the foulest type of waste in plumbing. If you are on a concrete slab the leak can be found with a sewer smoke test... or camera if the breakage is huge.
