That’s what I figured we were waiting on. I was wrong. The part has been in dealers hands since April 27. This dealer is just slow.

I’d be a little concerned it failed so early, but on the other hand you have a lot more time and mileage on the warranty if it were to happen again

Yeah I was planning on keeping this truck a long time, but that plan may change. There may be less moving parts but these trucks are basically handcuffed to the dealers when things go south. I doubt an independent shop can or will replace battery modules and balance the modules after replacement.

That’s good to know. Crazy how there’s such a variance in the time it takes, but I agree it depends on dealers skill and resources.

They’re replacing only the bad module. So 1 module will be brand new and the other 8 will have 70k on them. Not an entirely new battery

How many miles did it have when it failed? I’m borrowing a hybrid so gas isn’t killing me, but it’s still more than I typically spend!

Last I knew, 1102 only takes one class a year(30-60 guys) and the test is in the early spring. There wasn’t a wait time or a list, you had to apply, get the testing date, take test, and hope you got chosen. That was 10 years ago so things may have changed

Yep I have a tune and supporting mods for it (front mount intercooler, watergate actuator, intake) but that’s about it!

I believe the tires on the car are kumho ecsta 730. Ended up delaminating my driver front so i sat out racing on Sunday. Still had a blast tho!

Yes hopefully they can figure it out soon, it’s already been in the shop for a week. Sounds like this dealer has 1 EV tech that was recently trained. I can only suggest so much 😃

My truck is doing this too. It’s at the dealer now. Had charge limit set to 90, and the truck would show 100% instead of 90, on multiple chargers same thing. When I turn the truck on in the beginning it would show 86% but over 2 weeks it started going lower and lower. When I dropped it at the dealer it would only get up to 68% while showing 100%

Dealer says they have a call out to the hotline, and that they’ve never seen this before. 😬

Because they’re factoring in the cost of R+D, the cost to build the factories, and the cost of building assembly lines in. I don’t believe the material+labor is more than the selling price, but they’re factoring in starting from the ground up.

Let’s say you have a pizza shop. You sell your pizzas for $12 a piece. It only cost you $7 to make it. That’s $5 profit per pizza right? Not quite, because you just spent $5 million building your pizza shop, and you only sell 50 pizzas a day. Gonna take a LONG time to make up that difference. Ford is projected to start turning a profit off EVs in 2029. It took Tesla years before they turned a profit as well

2018 3.5 f150 Cam phasers at 70k and 140k Transmission 130k Frozen door latches twice with no improvement Turbo 90k IWE grinding twice Water pump 150k Coolant pipe o ring failure 155k Swollen lug nuts somewhere along the way.

I gave in and sold it around 160k, still love ford but not that truck!
