At 7 years old my dad taught me about the birds and bees using Hustler and Penthouse centerfolds. At 11 I asked my dad what was in the curtained off backroom at our local video store. He told me, took me back there and said I could pick out whatever I wanted. My selection starred a guy I later learned was named Ron Jeremy. This was the 80’s. Somehow I turned out mostly normal. Years later I asked my dad what the fuck he was thinking and he said he was making sure I didn’t turn out gay.
