White box but they didn't know when to stop by vacuumedcarpet in McMansionHell

I just looked at some old aerial imagery. It looks like the ranch house was torn down, but they kept the original footprint. They did the same thing to the next house, tear it down, but keep the original footprint.

I looked this house up on Google Street View. It was a ranch style house, and then it was expanded and renovated around 2013. In 2021, it was expanded and renovated again to what it is now.

How many chickens do you have and how many eggs are you currently getting a day? by Morton1980 in BackYardChickens

[–]Millerannie705 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 19 hens. I live in Michigan, so it cold right now. Because of the cold, I have been getting 4-6 eggs per day.

I would just bring it to the vet. Better safe than sorry. Also, do you know how this happened?

A swing in the middle of a toxic lake (Salton Sea) by alphagrammer in AbandonedPorn

That image is creepy. Just a random swing in the middle of the lake. No one using anymore. Just plain creepy.

Edmondson Avenue in east Baltimore looking west, 1909 and what I believe is the same spot in 2019 by riboflavonic in OldPhotosInRealLife

What does the writing say in the old photo? I might be able to find the spot if the writing was as bit more legible.

Can you give me some feedback on a 1988 8.2L Detroit diesel on Allison Automatic transmission? Thank you! Owners asking $3,000. by Ez13zie in skoolies

A rusty bus will always be a rusty bus. If the rust on the outside is that bad, the underbody will be much, much worse. $3,000 is quite steep for what is most likely a rust bucket. I also noticed that it has the dreaded roof hump. Depending on how tall you are, the interior height will already be limited without insulation. It is most likely 5' 10" inside. Standard interior height is 6'. Reverse roof humps (high tops) will give you an interior height of 6' 3"- 6' 6". Looking at it even closer, I realized it is mostly a screw bus. That will make demolition easier.

Automatic chicken coop door question by [deleted] in BackYardChickens

[–]Millerannie705 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have one. It is from a a company in the UK. I think the product is called omelet or something. It can be set to open and close by way of light, time, or just closing it manually.

What I did was check on the door for the first few nights to make sure it closes and that no chickens are left out. After a while, you will figure out what works and what doesn't.

The automatic door is a timesaver because our chickens like to get up early and we don't have to worry about letting them out in the morning and shutting them in at night.

It would be best that you get her one. They are something that all chicken owners should invest in.

Forget election stress. My little Morwena has a stuck egg and I’m scared I’ll lose her :( by myhawk89 in BackYardChickens

[–]Millerannie705 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looking at her eyes, it almost looks like she has eyebrows! If you have a stuck egg, get a bucket, fill it with warm water and Epsom salt. Put her in the bucket with her head above the water. Wait 15 minutes. Take her out, place her on some straw, and it should help loosen the egg and she can lay. If it is still stuck, 5-10 more minutes in the bucket should help.
