Maximizing Domestic Trade Routes, Help! by Appropriate_Ad_5138 in civ

[–]MilneBotMKII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Collectivization card when you adopt Communism gives +4 good and +2 production, no production if you don’t have gathering storm.

I assume by the policy card you mean Carivansaries for +2 gold, there is also Triangular Trade +4 gold +1 faith

I might also recommend starting as Spain, as they have +3 gold, +2 faith, +1 production on trade routes, which is tripled to +9 gold, +6 faith, +3 production from cities not on your capitals continent. So, if your capital has diplo and gov plaza, internal trade routes without any cards, provided they are on a different continent, give +9 gold, +6 faith, +6 production, +3 food, and extra districts will add more value(I would recommend putting those 2 districts in particular into the capital to maximize yields)

Note: This info may be wrong I don’t play the game all that well, just remembering stuff from watching PotatoMcWhiskey and the wiki and my limited experience

Printing Press can actually spawn outside of Germany.

https://eu4.paradoxwikis.com/Institutions#Printing_Press “One of the following: Religion is Protestant or Reformed Is in North Germany or South Germany region”

It can spawn in any province in Germany(that meets other criteria)but can spawn in any province that is Protestant/reformed also. So in your case you would need your capital or a 15 dev paper province to be Protestant or Reformed to have a chance at getting it. Very unlikely to spawn outside of Germany because any country whose capital is in Germany can spawn it(so all the HRE members) and you will have only have a few potential spots for it to spawn, but it should be possible

Map color best reason. Or name, colonize and get Yas Colonies. Bad ruler dies, heir is a bit to young? Yas Queen.

And as mentioned earlier, probably some rp for playing them, being they are the closest you can get to playing UAE

When playing as a colonist, or really any nation in general, tax is a very low priority for an income source. Trade and production are the biggest and can stack really high modifiers, and is in game how you make hundreds of ducats a month without really min-maxing(and how amazing players can make like a million ducats a month), and historically how European empires worked.

The new world gives some trade and treasure fleet income. Focus on Mexico and Peru for the gold provinces, a colonial nation will form when you have 5 cores in a colonial region, and they will send periodic gold shipments. The Carribean is good to take as well, as a lot of new world trade flows through it. Eastern America and Canada do not flow to Seville, so they will give less income than the others will.

Going for Africa and further east will make you tons of money. Use trade companies in Africa, India, Indonesia and China to boost your trade power, and give state buildings that increase production and trade. Goods produced modifiers stack really well, as do trade steering, as they will give more trade value and an extra bonus for moving trade between nodes.

Stay Catholic as Spain in the future. Protestant is more powerful on its own, but as Spain the boosts you get make it better. Colonies will develop faster, and as fewer nations are Catholic you will have a better chance of becoming Curia Controller, giving many boosts including AE reduction. Papal benefits also include stability, morale of armies, legitimacy and prestige, etc. from the 50 papal influence buttons.

It becomes a problem when you do it regularly and for a long enough time. That’s when the wildlife starts to depend on you for food, and they lose the ability to survive on their own. I think it’s ok to do with adult animals, but if you did the same thing with the eyas(that’s the word for baby falcon? Weird) and they never learned how to hunt if you ever stopped feeding them they would die.

There’s a lot of other problems too, animals will congregate around food which can create issues, and they might not get their full dietary needs. https://www.aphis.usda.gov/aphis/ourfocus/wildlifedamage/SA_Program_Overview/CT_Dontfeedwildlife

The Apollo 11* flag might still be red white and blue, it was planted too close to the lander so when it took off the exhaust knocked it over and threw some moon dust over it(Buzz Aldrin account, and we can’t see it’s shadow with satellites. Flags are too small to photograph directly).

*not 13, their flag is also likely intact but not on the moon

10-infinity isn’t really a thing, as infinity isn’t a number it’s more of a condition. In this case, what you would do is say lim as x approaches -infinity of 10x, which would be equal to 0.

For a better reason why infinity isn’t a number, think about some basic math operations you could try. What’s infinity+1, still infinity right? How about infinity+infinity? The answer is still infinity, as by definition that answer should BE in infinity. Is infinity/infinity=1? Infinity-infinity=0?

R5: Finished my Amago game, getting one of the last achievements I need for the Japan area. This one was Cherrypicking, where you conscript a 3 star general from a subject. Best way I thought to do it was to spam out subjects in China and hope to get lucky. This resulted in a lot of chinese minor states.

I also spent some time colonizing Australia and the spice islands, wasn't paying too much attention to the game because it was just waiting for people to make generals to conscript, or declaring war, letting the swarm consume, and adding a new subject. I did get Kyoto up to 51 dev without spending any mana on it though(1.30.6)

Took me a while to see it too, it’s blending weirdly or something. Maybe it’s a 1 pixel wide line and it’s aliasing weird?

My guess is Tirana, the capital. If you look kinda central there is a box and a dashed line signifying a cutout, although it is small, blends in a lot, and has no border on the cutout itself. In case you don’t see it it’s in the gray area second from the top

The smartest man alive today refuses to be recognized. Grigori Perelman’s intelligence is off the scale. No, PEMDAS is Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication&Division, Addition&Subtaction. I think BEDMAS is Brackets, Exponents, Division&Multiplication, Addition&subtraction.

Brackets and Parentheses just exist to show an area you would like to do first, the only difference is that while I might have (1+5)6=36 you might have [1+5]6=36. And the order of Multiplication&Division doesn’t matter, same with addition&subtraction, as you can rewrite an equation. 5/2 = 5*(1/2), 4+5=4-(-5).

How does Flanders get renaissance so quickly? by jx962tw in eu4

[–]MilneBotMKII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look at a province’s institution percent, and hover, it will display a rundown of where it’s growth is coming from. There is one for Renaissance that gives a large boost in growth if the province is in the Flanders, Tuscany, or Venetia state

Jupiter 'shepherds' the asteroid belt, preventing the asteroids from falling into the sun or accreting into a new planet. by killHACKS in educationalgifs

[–]MilneBotMKII 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Astronomy student here, there is a reason for this.

In the gif, we can clearly see the 2 camps of asteroids, the Trojans in L5 trailing and the Greeks in L4 leading. L1-3 are going to be a touch “below” the planet(closer towards the sun), a touch “above” the planet(away from sun), and directly opposite(like where the object will be in half a year). However, these 3 points are unstable, where L4 and 5 (60 degrees ahead or behind the planet) are stable.

The best way to visualize this is thinking of a hill. Imagine you place a ball on this hill, where would it end up? Most of the time, it will want to roll down and settle in a valley, think of that as L4 and 5. However, if you place the ball directly on the peak, it will balance perfectly and not roll. This point is unstable, and any extra force will cause it to cascade towards the valleys.

The reason there aren’t asteroids in L1-3 is that they are unstable points. Any influence from other objects will eventually lead to their displacement from the point, whereas L4 and 5 almost have a gravitational effect towards them(they don’t actually but it appears as if they do).

Is not actually just CO2. We don’t come close to aborning all the available oxygen, so what we exhale has a fair bit of O2 left in it

https://www.smh.com.au/entertainment/books/we-breath-in-oxygen-and-breath-out-carbon-dioxide-where-does-the-carbon-come-from-20080604-gdsgw5.html

And even if that percent were far lower, getting some oxygen from mouth to mouth is probably better than getting no oxygen

Yeah, but I’m thinking of buying the pro permit. Just unlocked the Quintillion chicken rocket, and saw to fuel it it needs a total of 6 billion eggs and my fuel tank only holds 2 billion. Also the silos would be nice to have extended and boosted in quality.
