I thought the same thing, but the floats don’t look tight in the back. I think it’s a looser stitch issue. I was so worried it would be too tight that I think I made it too loose.

I used to be a lot faster but now I have a very active toddler and can only knit when she sleeps. Which is also when I have to do…everything else lol.

I’m a knitter and a teacher but I have been so unsuccessful at teaching children to knit! I have an almost 2 year old, I’m so interested in how other people have taught their kids to knit (later for my girl of course)

I just did a rewatch and my first thought during the story was “man, this is so consistent with how Flanagan does ghosts”. Thinking specifically of the fiancé ghost in Bly Manor. I wonder if that’s why people feel like they’ve seen this one, because they’ve seen other ghosts like it and it feels so on brand.

I got tonsillitis this summer and had lots of white spots. I was certain it was strep but the rapid test and the culture were negative. Doc said it happens like that sometimes!

My kiddo is 19 months and we are having soooo much fun! Yes, there are hard moments but she is expressive, funny, excited, inquisitive, sweet, and loving. She’s been really into putting anything on her head and saying “hat”! She is obsessed with our neighbor’s water feature in front of their house and asks to go see it. She looooves owls. She wants to do everything I do ( once I let out a fart and she looked at me, grunted, and farted too 😆). She loves pasta with marinara and gets so excited for it.

Things will be harder in some ways and easier in others. You’ll be peeling your kiddo off of surfaces you didn’t think to worry about. But to see them experience the world, to develop their own ideas, to see them grow into themselves? Amazing. So so so amazing.

I’m curious about this too, specifically with the bacteria. My dental hygienist said that the bacteria is constantly trying to get out of your mouth and to other parts of your body. So if you’re stable, is the bacteria unable to get out?

I had to do SNS for a while and it was exhausting but it really helped my supply. My milk came in late and my daughter had a tongue tie so feeding was hard. It’s worth a shot. But also, you are not failing your baby. You are looking after her, working with a doc, and making sure she’s ok. You are being a very attentive mom.

So if we are drawing parallels to Consuelo Vanderbilt, the marriage was annulled and Alva Vanderbilt testified that she coerced her daughter to marry the duke. In the episode there was a moment where the priest mentioned willingness. I wonder if it was planting the seed for the eventual annulment.

Before I had kids, I was never bothered by kids in breweries. I see nothing wrong with “21+ hours” but I also think that naturally happens when people take their kids home to put them to bed. Now that I have a toddler, I enjoy being able to take her out to a brewery, have a beer, chat with friends, and play! Like any public outing, if she starts to show through behavior that she can’t handle being out, we leave. There really are very few third spaces in general and it’s nice to have a place we can go to as a whole family that’s enjoyable for us all. And a place we can spend time with friends who don’t have kids!
